This is how I feel and I’m still on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Not for nothing, but the iPhone 11 Pro had a “green” that I still have and it was more gray than green and not at all like the official Apple renders. I was and still am very disappointed with it. I wouldn’t go for that color unless I saw it and person and actually liked it.

Anyone else feel we got much more “X is launching next week” “Don’t expect Apple to X next week” than usual? Like who gives a fuck what someone else thinks or what has leaked? It’s not official until Apple says it is.

I swear I saw an article that said Gurman wasn’t expecting AirPods Maxes today… so he’s got both positions covered…

I work with an event management company and I’d love to float the idea of ditching our existing solution for an open source one. Not sure they will be willing but I’m definitely going to play with the possibility.

I used to do everything on my work issued computer for 13 years. I would literally be handed a new MacBook and I would set it up so I knew no tracking of any kind was done on it.

Switched jobs and I told myself I wouldn’t do that again because of all the bad things I’ve heard about over the years.

At the new job I got a brand new MacBook Pro, M1 Max top of the line 64GB 1TB… this thing is a beast… so when my mom and wife had projects they wanted me to help with, I was tempted and caved in to just doing it on the work computer.

Started seeing how people at work would give two week notices and be walked off the premises the same day and I told myself I needed to stop that shit. Wiped everything off and now I have two separate devices.

Keeping it like this moving forward.

Yeah the note was so sweet, and they took time to introduce Snickers to the next family (which was shortened from her original name), I would have never dreamed of renaming her.

It’s not a scam. Worked near St. John’s county and had similar experience with the school district I worked with. If they are like the cases I know, every 5 years you have to pay for your background check again, even after being hired.

They won’t even just deduct it from your next pay. You have to provide a check or money order/cashier’s check.

I wish I had a link to the post, if I remember right, you could “program it” to say extend the index finger to pick your nose, but it’s so cumbersome that people end up using more traditional prosthetics.

Every time I see these now, I think of that one Reddit post on r/youshouldknow that mentioned that these prosthetics have to be pre-configured to do certain actions and are really not as impressive as they first seem. In this case you can clearly see that she’s just able to open and close her fist and rotate it.

The other part of the post was about how cost prohibitive these actually are and how they are not attainable by the average amputee.

I love the idea that these will get better with more people using them, but the post made it seem like we’ve been stuck with limited functionality for some time because there’s no real way to improve it.
