his entire argument was summed up in his first line. that's how statements work. go to school and learn about it. you open with a point, and then you expand on the point to explain why that's your point, and why that point is valid. you may even continue the point, testing it against potential rebuttals, and then you know how you end? a conclusion to confirm your point.

so look as he opens with his point:

"My view change is a single word: sophistication."

and then expands on it:

"When you're in a text only format sophistication is what matters most. We've all seen Lefties doing those walls of text or point by point refutations with lots of sourcing. Essays, in a word."

he continues for a bit then closes with:

"If you explain it to them they'll just downvote and exit the conversation. I'm not even entirely sure why they're on reddit at all. Intellectualism is inherently more popular in text based mediums."

of course he should've ended there, but continues to meander in circles a bit with:

"They try so hard to keep up with their memes but no one thinks that the Right is anywhere near as entertaining or comedic as the Left."
