Does anyone here have May Thurner's Syndrome? by GoldRosePetal in ClotSurvivors

[–]msw1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First DVT - felt like I pulled a muscle in my left leg at first. Was walking to my car and by the end of the two to three block walk, I was limping feeling pain when I put weight on my left leg. The pain didn't go away. I'd say about five to six hours later, I noticed the left leg was sore/purple-ish/warm to the touch. Tried going to bed. Woke up several hours later to intense nausea and vomited (not sure if this is a common symptom or not). I knew something was wrong. My girlfriend at the time (my now wife) took me to the ER. I couldn't even bend over enough to put my shoes on. She had to wheelchair me into the ER from the ER parking lot. ER doc said it was one of the biggest DVT's he'd ever seen

Second DVT - not nearly as bad as the first. Noticed some slight discoloration near my left ankle (reddish in color). No pain at the outset. Discoloration didn't go away but pain never crept in. Ended up driving myself to ER from work about a week later. My left leg felt super heavy and I was out of breath from walking up the stairs at work.

Bilateral pulmonary embolisms - elevated heart rate and intense sweat broke out on my forehead. With my past history of DVT's, went to the ER that very same day.

I'm 39. I have May-Thurner Syndrome. Have had two DVT's and bilateral pulmonary embolisms. First DVT was like six years ago, second DVT was three years after the first, and bilateral pulmonary embolisms a few months after the second DVT. Had a stent placed which had to be extended.

I've never had cold extremities though so couldn't help you on that.

Weren't people in here getting on Murray for a poor performance or two vs the Suns last round? People claiming the sky was falling and that the Suns were going to beat the Nuggets?

Dude's averaging just over 27ppg these playoffs and has been huge for Denver. People quick to hate.

Beating the original Contra, single player, with no Konami code and without dying. This was when I was in my 20's. Could not imagine doing that when I played the game originally as a young kid.

[Singer] Malone, asked about going deeper into his bench: “I will not hesitate to use DeAndre.” by FrankerZ_123 in nba

Serious question, because I didn't follow the regular season that closely.

Is Reggie Jackson recovering from injury/has he declined in production? He was averaging just over 31 mpg in '21-'22 with the Clippers. He goes to Denver at the end of this season, plays 16 games for Nuggets, and averaged only 19.9 mpg over that span. Obviously they have Jamal Murray running point, so that's understandable.

Yet Reggie is only averaging 3.5 mpg in four playoff games played this postseason. Is he washed up? I thought he was still a good scoring option and a decent defender?

I have had maybe....6-7 episodes? They first started when I was like 32... happened out of nowhere.

Went to the ER during that first episode because I didn't know what was happening. Was on a date with my now wife and my hearing went from fine to like I was underwater. Felt all dizzy and disoriented. Kept getting worse as the night went on. Any movement triggered insane nausea. I was throwing up outside the car door. I couldn't really walk without fearing I'd fall over.

ER doc said it was vertigo. Nothing can cure it, you just have to learn to live with it.

I woul get episodes here and there afterwards. I could usually tell when one was coming on because I'd hear an intense ringing in one ear and then the symptoms would start soon after that.

Once I was driving home from work. Maybe a 10-15 block drive in total. My ear started ringing when I was a few blocks from home. I panicked but made it home, collapsed on the bed, and laid there in the dark for the next few hours.

The most intense episode, though, probably more intense than the first one, happened maybe a year or two later. By then most of the episodes had stopped.

I felt the symptoms one day, and tried fighting through it, but soon it was apparent it was another attack.

This one was the most nauseous I've ever felt during an attack. Numerous instances of throwing up. The most intense, debilitating, disorienting spinning in my head with even the slightest movement. I found laying down on the couch and having one foot planted on the carpet helped stabilize me a bit and counteract the dizzy spells.

I eventually moved to the bed and laid there pretty much motionless for the next 6-8 hours in the dark until the attack eventually wore off.

I noticed a lot of my attacks happened when it was chillier/colder outside and my ears were unprotected. Not sure if the cold weather caused the crystals in the inner ear to dislodge?

I have had some serious cases of vertigo. It's crazy how much it can debilitate you. I don't think people who haven't had it can understand just how much it can fuck you up.

What artists do you think have a unique voice? by Vorilex in Music

Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Frog Eyes, Swan Lake, his solo stuff under the Moonface moniker, and his solo stuff under his own name)

Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes, Commander Venus, his solo stuff)

I'd recommend starting with Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown for Spencer and Bright Eyes for Conor.

Siamo Napoli. One of the best, if not the best, Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Gets super busy. They open at 4pm each day. I went at 4:30pm on a Saturday and there was no wait.

When we left at around 6pm, it was entirely full with a line out the door.

If your concert is at The North Park Observatory, Siamo is a 3 minute walk from there.

LeBron James extends his record for most All-NBA Teams (19) of all time by iSleepUpsideDown in nba

[–]msw1984 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Only three players have received 11+ All NBA First Team selections. LeBron with 13, Kobe Bryant with 11, and Karl Malone with 11.

Kobe Bryant had First Team selections from '01-'02 through '03-'04 (3 years in a row) and again from '05-'06 through '12-'13 (8 years in a row). He was also All Defensive First Team from '02-'03 through '03-'04 and from '05-'06 through '10-'11.

Karl Malone had First Team selections from '88-'89 through '98-'99 (11 years in a row), while also getting All Defensive First Team from '96-'97 through '98-'99 as well.

I couldn't find any tbh. I searched players who had lots of conference finals appearances but most were with 1-3 teams.

Also searched players who played for lots of teams, but oddly enough, the players who had records for most teams played for, most of them had very little playoff experience for the most part.
