Underrated guest role: Iqbal Theba. He really put in a moving and nuanced performance as Abed's dad.

But Sheldon is autistic and Monk has obsessive compulsive disorder. It's wild that your mom is comparing you to two characters with neurodivergences by saying you're like them and then denying your neurodivergence.

Weird is claiming you are Jamaican, when you are Indian

I get that your lily-white supremacist mind can't comprehend this, but it's called being interracial. It happens when two people of different races love each other very much and make a third person. People who are mixed like this often identify with both of their races and participate in traditions from both sides.

He absolutely should be sentenced to prison for years.

I'm just acknowledging that the conspiracy minded will claim he was murdered regardless of the cause of death and make him into a martyr.

I think the number who martyr him at a death of natural causes will be far lower than if he dies in prison or gets assassinated.

That's not going to happen while Trump is still around. As long as the cult of personality exists, people will follow it for their own gains.

The only way this ends is Trump dying of natural causes leaving the maga movement divided among the various claimed successors, weakening it to the point of irrelevance.

North Korea was a "police action" where the US was enforcing a UN resolution.

We didn't declare war against North Vietnam, we provided aid and troops to South Vietnam after some North Vietnamese ships allegedly attacked US ships (the first incident happened but the second didn't).

First Iraq was also enforcing a UN resolution, as was Kosovo in the 90s.

Afghanistan was a response to an attack. The US actually invoked NATO Article 5 after 9/11.

Second Iraq was funded as part of the global war on terror because of the W Bush administration's lies.

It's important to keep in mind that at some point the lawyers decided that the POTUS has a right to deploy troops without Congress declaring war and it's fine as long as Congress approves the budget.

Was there ever a failed candidate who went on to die inside the term he was running for?

Secret Services’ Most Stressful Day of 2014

It's important to remember that he had a conservative Dem majority and in the Senate barely had enough votes to beat a filibuster (60 votes is needed to stop it). So for the ACA he had to cave to the likes of Lieberman on the public option or it wouldn't get passed. He couldn't get anyone to agree on where to send the prisoners in Guantanamo and had to drop that.

He did reduce deployments in Iraq. He did bring down the deficit. He did preside over the repeal of don't ask don't tell and celebrated the legalization of gay marriage.

He did make a lot of changes, he just never had the ability to make changes as deep as we wanted.

Intel is laying off over 10,000 employees and will cut $10 billion in costs

No, there's two separate issues. The oxidation issue only affects a small number of chips, the over voltage issue caused by a bug in the microcode is what they're trying to patch.

The bug only impacts chips 65 watts and over.

So, insurance normally goes to the end of the month (I've seen a fair few layoffs, mostly as someone who has to pick up the extra work) and they did the layoffs on the last day of the month. They probably screwed these people out of a month of health insurance before having to get other health insurance.

At least the one time I got laid off they did it at the beginning of the month.

But it is worth noting that having affairs was en vogue in Europe at the time. I remember when reading Chernow's biography of Alexander Hamilton that the frequency of affairs in Europe was mentioned regarding Angelica and the possibility of her having an affair with Alexander while her husband also had a mistress.

Chernow also notes that several letters between Eliza, Angelica, and Alexander were defaced, presumably to hide some family secret.
