Dragon's Dogma 2 has the best character creation in any video game. Would it work for Capcom if they made the face editing as extensive on Wilds or would it become too silly?

flipperkip97
commented

I hope they build on World's character creation. It didn't have as much freedom as other games, but it was also very easy to make a good looking character.

Lies of P Sequel Could Feature Open-World Setting

I agree, I also prefer Fromsoft's more linear and "compact" games. I didn't love Lies of P, but I quite liked the level design. Simple, but I prefer that over massive open worlds with a lot of pointless directions.

Zamtrios and (Frostfang) Barioth are awesome, but my favourite is definitely Goss Harag.

Are we feeling the same?

I don't like it either, lol. It's a cool cutscene, but if the Wunderwaffe is the WW of Libery Falls... Meh.

Richtofen returning isn't that exciting to me either. It could be really cool, but it could also be cheap fanservice in a desperate attempt to win back players.

What did you guys end up do to her and why?

Pretty sure I shot her in the face. Prettiest character in the game, though.

Poll update: Which weapon in Wilds will be your main?

LS is one of my mains too and I agree wholeheartedly. It's a shame, because this sub used to be extremely chill even when World was released. This is like the first thread in a long time to acknowledge the ridiculous hate for LS (players)...

Capcom just give me my Plastic Chair at this Point

I'd say why not? I also main Dual Blades and Switchaxe on top of Longsword and Hammer.

Who else is hopping, we finally get body customization in MHWilds?

flipperkip97
replied to Aethanix

This argument doesn't make a lot of sense. In the large majority of games, body customisation doesn't have anywhere near enough freedom to create abominations.

Also, body customisation in Wilds is quite likely, because some of the demo character presets had chunkier limbs than others.

Rise Music

flipperkip97

More the opposite for me. Well, Rise has some bangers. Especially the themes of Malzeno and Magnamalo, but in general I prefer World's OST. Teostra's theme got a huge downgrade compared to World imo.

Terrifier 3 - Official Poster

Not scary. It's kinda torture porn but Art the clown is funny. Most people here seem to hate these movies (or it's a very loud minority), but I enjoyed them.

Avowed is most likely capped at 30 fps on Console. "It's a first person single player game. You don't need a 60fps mode"

60fps has absolutely been the standard these last few years, though...

Monster Hunter Wilds seems to be limited to 30 FPS on consoles

Next generation of consoles I certainly won't complain about games still releasing on last gen for 3+ years, because at least it means we're getting 60fps on next gen consoles...

You can now have up to a full party of NPC Support Hunters in Wilds and they can be called in mid-hunt in solo or with others

flipperkip97
replied to Kalavier

That's what I thought of right away when I found the feature in Sunbreak. Would have been so damn cool to actually fight Teostra together with the Huntsman.

Some demo players are reporting the game runs at 30 FPS on Console

flipperkip97
replied to Zethrial

What? 60fps is absolutely the standard nowadays. Games that don't manage it are the exception and they rightfully get a lot of flak for it.

Monster Hunter Wilds Developer Livestream: Gamescom 2024 - Day 1!

flipperkip97
replied to eddolo

That would be a HUGE disappointment for me. I can't go back to 30fps with virtually every game running at 60fps on console now...

Now I'm afraid, lol.

EDIT: Wow, this is an illegal opinion? Why?

Sunbreak-style npc followers confirmed

I hope it's not limited to this and we can choose who joins us on a hunt. I loved the follower system in Sunbreak.
