God what a pathetic edit.

You’re talking like things don’t grow in popularity over time.

Dark Age from Red Rising is incredible

Lysander is a fantastic character. I hate him, but he's a big reason why I think the sequel series is so good.

Agreed. 2-3 episodes between Swordsmith Village and Infinity Castle wouldn't have been enough for the story to breathe a bit. Now I'm also going to care about what happens to almost every character in the upcoming movies.

IGN gives Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc a 3/10

This was by no means my favorite season, but I am still incredibly happy it turned out this way.

I can't imagine watching the Swordsmith Village arc, then perhaps a short 2-3 episode (if we're going by the manga material) adaptation of the Hashira training arc, then straight into the Infinity Castle arc. With all the supposedly added material they've made me care about pretty much every character just before heading into what I expect will be a bloodbath.

I know we're all impatient for what is to come but speaking for myself, 2-3 episodes between SV and IC would be too rushed.

A lot of people may be disappointed at this time, but I'm confident the extended Hashira training arc will be much more appreciated once the show has had its conclusion.

Oh that is hard.. Mixing limited series with multi season shows is impossible but I can do two versions.

No particular order btw.

Fringe, Person of Interest, Mr. Robot, Friends, The Leftovers, Frieren, Mindhunter, X-Files, For All Mankind, Supernatural 1-5.

The Queen's Gambit, The Haunting of Hill House, Station Eleven, Chernobyl, True Detective S1, Lessons in Chemistry, Mare of Easttown, Midnight Mass, Devs, Shogun.

Shows that might make the list : Severance, Andor, Arcane, Interview with the Vampire, Stranger Things, The Bear (less likely after s3)

Had GoT and Westworld in my top 10 before but dropped them with later seasons.

Do I have timeline confusion or do the characters not care?

It was stuff like this that made me like this season a hell of a lot less.

Instead of these Nat/Carm/Ritchie scenes we get so much time spent on random characters talking in the finale?

I haven't seen the shows you mentioned so I don't know how well they match but I recently watched Veronica Mars for the first time. I know I'm like 20 years late to it but I still thought it was fantastic.

It's well written, has one of the best female leads I've ever come across, and what I thought was a satisfying mystery.

It's from the ''old'' 20+ episodes model though so it does include episodic mysteries/stories as well.

A more recent show I'd recommend is Mare of Easttown. Definitely darker and a tough watch at times but not without its fair share of hilarious moments.
