Not as extreme but a friend of mine had been dating a Pakistani girl for 6 months. She never told her parents, who immigrated from Pakistan, about him because she was afraid they wouldn't accept him because he's a white American.

Well, she finally did, and they forced her to break up with him because he wasn't a Pakistani muslim and that they would choose a husband for her.

I think it's tragic that people still think and act like this, but what's confusing is why her parents would send her to an American state University, where all sorts of infidelity could, and did, happen around her.

My boyfriend hasn't told his parents about me and we have been dating for over 2 years (Almost 3). His sister told her parents about her american boyfriend maybe a year and a half? ago and they have been threatening to disown her unless she breaks up with him. So she tells them to disown her and don't talk to her. Of course they don't want to disown her - they're her parents! They think they can threaten their kids, but if they meant it they would have done it by now.

Anyway - my boyfriend is going to tell his parents once his sister graduates (And marries her boyfriend). And its not going to be a question - either they accept me or they lose him. I'm also not going to try to like "Convince them" lmao they won't like me no matter what... but if they disown all their children they won't have anyone to take care of them when they age so... they can decide all on their own.

Can anybody vouch for the rain-resistance of the blocktech coats? I’m looking for a “raincoat” that isn’t too heavy to wear with an umbrella (so doesn’t have to be completely waterproof) and the women’s version is on $50 sale right now.

I don’t like her because she acts like a child on twitter. Her music is not bad, it’s not for me but I can see the appeal.

I really like her music but I didn’t know much about her personality until she got that dumb bbq grill tattoo and lost her mind on Twitter because people were making fun of her. She just seems a bit spoiled.

Also I don’t like the way she name dropped Pete Davidson in Thank U, Next. He has mental health issues and I’m p sure the arianator hate didn’t help.

I mean she was pretty positive about all her Ex’s in that song. He came out and said he liked it.

Yeah she was nice but still I can’t believe she wouldn’t know her fans would send him hate for no reason.

Steve Rogers was a super sickly guy (like not just small, he had a long list of disabilities/diseases). There’s a screenshot out there from the MCU with a rundown. I’m sure he directly suffered from now-preventable diseases.

Also his mother literally died of tuberculosis which we now have a vaccine for. He’d be pro vax all the way.

I'm having the same dilemma over in the women's section... same pattern and color. I think its a really beautiful suit but the pinstripe makes it a hair less formal. If you're working in a creative field i would say go for it - but i might be a little hesitant for finance/law. That being said I have one sitting in my cart right now and IDK whether to check out bc its such a deal and actually in my size.

I pulled the trigger on it in a 40(r). Have previously bought 39 and 40 in fitzgerald but that's gone away.

Like right now this stuff is like- mall brand price I might as well buy it even with the pinstripes. and comparing the women’s versions pinstripes are slightly less prominent too.

Omg, as an asian chick, this pisses me off a lot. This happens so much sometimes, especially when I go out and the guys are a little drunk. I don’t mind being asked about what my background is, just don’t make that your conversation opener. Im tired of “hey so I noticed you’re not white, whats that about?” Being injected into the first conversation I have with someone. Feel free to ask me about it later on if it comes up or if you’re truly curious ( a lot of people have a hard time figuring out what my race is due to hair color and height) but please wait until a third or fourth conversation.

I find it just comes up naturally when your friends with someone! Like, friends talk about their family and culture. It’s like... I don’t even have to “tell” people I’m Chinese because it naturally comes up with friends, and if we’re not friends why do you need to know?

You ignorant racist bastard, wtf would you ask again where she is from is she said where she is from? Cringy as it gets.

I love dragging people on and on when they do this to see how many “rotations” they go through before they figure out what I’m doing and get embarrassed.

I’ve got a white mom and a very Chinese last name, so sometimes I’ll give people the run around and talk about my ancestral family farm.... in New Hampshire.

If it’s really so interesting to find out my ethnicity (which is vaguely rude and invasive) I’d rather people just ask directly than try to skirt around it.

Tom Nook's a pretty fair lender, in all honesty. No repayment terms or interest rates.

Okay this is my passion. Tom Nook is literally the nicest lender ever wtf??? Literally his terms are more lenient than Habitat for Human... which is a charity!

Tom Nook used to be the face of animal crossing and now he’s essentially been replaced by Isabelle. Relatively little merch or artwork includes him which is such a shame because he is so cute!!

Holy shit---drop shoulder EVERYTHING! Now we can all get that hand-me-down, I've got a fashionable older brother look!

U hoodie.

I feel like a drop shoulder looks nice if you already have a bold/strong build - it gives a nonchalant, easy going look to the clothes. But if you're struggling with a nontraditional shape, it just makes you look slope-shouldered and weird.
