They should. Burning gas doesn’t hurt roads, moving a lot of weight over them does. The efficiency of ICE engines varies widely, so taxing gas is not a very accurate measure of miles driven. And if it has the side effect of people being dissuaded from buying enormous vehicles that they can’t drive safely, see out of, or park, all the better.

Which is the most irritating EV myth?
Yes, because as we all know, ICE vehicles don’t have brakes or tires - those are exclusive to EVs. This one drives me up the wall.
I've always just said "soft serve place" or "ice cream stand" - it will convey what you're looking for, and they all seem to also have the short order food.

I’ve used my camera to find problems on circuit boards (see what components get hot, or not hot, when you apply power).
I’ve also used it at the bagel store to tell which bagels are just out of the oven from across the room :-).
Just FYI, not all early Bolts can do level 3 charging. It was an option until 2022. All Bolts can do level 1 and 2.

I had a carlinkit, and it was flaky for me.
Yeah, I think it’s probably more that Rick considers anybody that isn’t him severely learning disabled, and spends most of his time with Morty, so he talks about Morty that way so much everybody has internalized it.

With CarPlay (and android auto), every time you upgrade your phone, the infotainment system hardware and software in every car you drive get a nice upgrade. That’s hard to beat.
Bolt owners love their Bolts because they’re great little reasonably priced cars that meet their needs. CarPlay is one of my needs, so if GM takes it away, there’s less reason to love it. Hopefully by the time I’m in the market for another car, some other manufacturer will finally make something other than the >$60000 luxury SUV/pickup truck/yacht crossover that dominates the market now. And it will have CarPlay.

Level 1 (120V) charging in the Bolt is 8A (~4 miles of range per hour, or 52 miles in 13 hours) by default, but if you have a sufficiently rated outlet, you can do 12A (6 miles of range/hr, 78 miles in 13 hours). That’s cutting it a bit close, but those are pretty standard - I don’t think another EV would do better than that.
If you get a 40A level 2 (240V) charger installed at home (this is what we ended up doing), you can get ~26 miles of range per hour, so you’d top up in about 3 hours. Again, that’s a pretty standard charging rate. Some cars can do more than 40A on level 2, but you can go from 0 to 100% in about 10 hours, so it seems fast enough. Even doubling or tripling the amount you drive every day you’d be fine.
Bolts are only considered “slow” to charge on DC fast chargers (what you’d use on road trips.). They’ll top out at 50kW under ideal conditions, so if you are planning a 500-1000 mile road trip, you’d either have to build in time to charge or rent a car. As a practical matter, the only time it’s been a problem for me is coming back from the recent eclipse with every other electric car owner in the Boston area, having to wait an hour and a half to get on a charger, then another hour charging enough to get home. But even then it was a nice break from driving and I had time to chat with interesting people with all types of electric cars while waiting.

Yeah, werewolf metabolism might explain why he can’t get drunk (if we take urban fantasy novels as canon). My new personal theory is that the stuff he injects into his neck is to keep him from shifting. At the end of episode 1, he has weird hallucinations/visions in the shower, which shakes him up, so he then goes and injects the stuff, and the next shot is of the full moon, so maybe that’s why he was losing it.

Yeah, that’s a choice they made (for exactly the reason you said, I’ll bet) that I don’t agree with. You shouldn’t need the pencil for navigation, and you don’t, but if you have it you should be able to use it.

He was critical of phones that need a stylus for basic functionality - people naturally interact with most things by directly manipulating them. iPads work great with only your finger. But for some tasks like precision drawing, the pencil gives you a much better experience, and a pencil is what humans expect to use for that task.

Because people want bigger phones now. When Apple makes small phones now, people don’t buy them.
