Danny Kaye influence on Michael Richards?

So, I just rewatched White Christmas for the first time in ages because I was showing it to my kids, and I was struck by how similar Danny Kaye's comedic style, especially facial expressions and physical comedy, seems to be to Michael Richards' style.

Anyone else ever notice this? And do we know if Michael ever mentioned Kaye as an influence?

The Court Jester (1956) Danny Kaye

So now is a time of streaming what with time on our hands.

I just watched one of Danny Kaye's finest on Amazon Prime: The Court Jester 1956. It's free right now. Just a romp that sends up all those swashbuckling quasi Medieval flicks of the 1950s. Showcasing Danny Kaye's talent, with Basil Rathbone and a surprisingly somewhat evil-yet-romantic Angela Lansbury, and Glynis Johns, who is super underrated.

If you're tired of heroes that cut down their enemies without a thought, and you want something just light-hearted just remember-- the pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle. Messes with just about every Robin Hood convention and manages to subvert most of them! FUN! (But not quite woke. This is the 1950s. Includes an action girl!)
