Agreed on the increase in net, NA did good in the first half. Im buying each week, but low PCL is gonna prevent me from buying more. I was expecting more so i held cash in case of a dip, im looking at another entry opportunity.

Royal Bank hits an all time high

CrypTom20
replied to kingofwale

Buy more, they both have huge provisions compared to royal and national. But they are all on the same boat. I have all of them, including td at 76$, bmo at 115$ and bns at 60$. Credit provision will go back into equity if not use. Banks are long term

Agree, i like to see 1 of holding going to the moon when the tsx digged in. 🀷 i would still like to see BN double or even triple that amount in case of a recession.

That is very little compared to assets under management. Dont get it wrong i own all 6 big banks, but most are close to 1B$ set aside, exept Td almost 3B$ due to the fact that they fucked up in the usa.

Story doesnt talk about any credit losses provision. Gotta take a closer look, NB shall has one of the biggest provision of all 6 banks. Any has the info about it?

Edit: 149 millions $ is the provision set aside. That is not much and this the reason of good earnings compared to its peer

'Buyers are firmly in the driver's seat': It's a good time to buy a cottage in Canada, experts say

CrypTom20
commented

I bought my first house at the very top of 2013 run. Still own it, paid 50% already and more double plus value. Never regret it, if you need a place, the best time to buy is now. 2024 now that 4 bdrm detached house on a 7000 sq ft land cost me 1100$/month. Money isnt going to be scarce for a long time, forget interest rate look at M2 money supplies for better indication. Toronto and Vancouver are just doomed
