Hey all, I'm back! I was on vacation, but I'm back to look over today's 9-game NBA DFS slate. For a full overview via video, you can catch me on YouTube (@TheDFSBuild) - search for my channel or hit up my link in my reddit profile.
Let's get into it.
Best NBA DFS Environments for Monday
-
Nets vs. Raptors
-
Wizards vs. Bulls
-
Mavs vs. Jazz
Holy shit balls is it ugly out there. Just TWO games have spreads south of 10 points on this slate. Gross.
You're in danger of seeing player's minutes cut down all over the place, so feel free to be picky tonight. That said, in terms of point spread, game total, and general environment, the 3 games above are your best bets for stacking purposes.
Brooklyn vs. Toronto has the tightest spread and it's a great spot for value and mid-range plays. I don't think I will be full-fledged game-stacking on a 9-game slate, however.
Top NBA DFS Picks for 3/25
-
PG: Luka Doncic ($12.8k)
-
SG: Jordan Poole ($6.7k)
-
SF: DeMar DeRozan ($8.1k)
-
PF: Kelly Olynyk ($7.1k)
-
C: Nikola Vucevic ($8.5k)
There are a lot of good plays at PG, as Brunson/Booker/Dejounte and FVV all stand out. You can use them at will, but nobody offers the floor and ceiling Doncic does. It doesn't hurt that his game has the highest total of the slate and his matchup is sublime, either.
Devin Booker is under-priced, in a smash spot, and can be used at SG, as well. However, he's still not necessarily cheap, his game has major blowout risk, and he's projecting as chalk. Poole should be owned, too, but you save $2k by using him and he could go nuts with both Tyus Jones and Kuzma out.
On the other side of that game is DeRozan. He looks awesome, clocking in with the second best projection among SFs tonight. Washington is a dream matchup and his price is appealing.
Kelly O might be too cheap for his role at the moment. Both RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley are out, while Jontay Porter and Chris Boucher being sidelined solidify his minutes. A date with the Nets isn't scary and the usage should be obscene here.
Vuc is pricey now, but he's honestly a brilliant leverage play on DeMar is the ownership stays where it's at. He has the same awesome matchup and projects similarly, and yet his personal matchup is superior and he is currently going completely overlooked.
Monday's Best NBA DFS Values
-
PG: Javon Freeman-Liberty ($3.9k)
-
SG: Miles McBride ($5.4k)
-
SF: Kris Murray ($4.3k)
-
PF: Chimezie Metu ($4.1k)
-
C: Zach Collins ($5k)
The last time I played JFL he got me SIX fantasy points, so no, I don't feel good about him. That said, he's the 5th best pure value at PG tonight and he offers a lot of salary relief. Just keep an eye on how many bodies Toronto will have on hand tonight.
McBride is not necessarily a core play, but he's pretty close. He's too cheap for a dude basically guaranteed to get 40+ minutes right now. A date with the Pistons puts him over the top as an elite value play.
Portland is missing at least 2 key guys tonight, and could be down 4. Murray is logging heavy minutes either way, so he's way too cheap for the role we're getting at this price. He's not projecting for nearly enough ownership, either.
I don't think it's chasey to play Metu. He did go nuts last time out, but 39 minutes isn't something I can ignore. Assuming Detroit is severely short-handed again, he will be a priority for me.
Wemby was at shoot-around, but he's still listed as Q. IF he's out, Collins is a core play. If he's out, we can dance with the devil via punts like Bruno Fernando and Trendon Watford. Or we can play it safer with solid values in the mid-range with guys like Claxton and Olynyk.
For savings, Gafford and Landale also stand out if we can't use Collins.
My Strategy for Monday Night
A lot has yet to be decided, but I think I know this much; I am building around Luka and I am pretty confident I'll be using Collins/McBride/Kris Murray. Metu is very close, too, depending on news.
I don't really want to do any deep dives if I can help it, but we'll see how it all shakes out.
This is my first day back, but hopefully this was helpful. For a more detailed look at Monday's NBA DFS slate, check out my video on YouTube.

The title explains it all. I want to be able to understand and analyze the X’s and O’s of basketball on a deep level. Youtube doesn’t have a lot of film study lessons, and big media outlets never cover it as you probably know. Is there a course or something online that I could pay for? A blog or something?
It’s also imperative that this information is up to date, or even better constantly updated as the game progresses.
I don’t mind paying for a subscription or a one time purchase if the content is locked behind a paywall. But even with that concession it’s genuinely difficult to seek out schematic discussion and break downs of NBA games beyond “X wasn’t hitting his shots” or “Y had a good night.”
