My PW settings include: 75% time based control Time of day (peak is 5-9 PM) Export solar yes Grid charging no
I have not changed any settings recently. Up until this week, PW would charge to 100%, discharge from 5 to 9 PM (usually leaving around 60% capacity).
Starting this week, PW has been charging to about 50% (usually by early afternoon), exporting the rest, and discharging to about 25% after 5 PM.
There is a leak in my roof under the panels. Tesla came out confirmed the leak and took the panels off about a month ago. Now I’m waiting for a third-party roofer to come and do their part (patch it up?). My system now produces about 25% of what it should be because one of the transformers is off-line. My PG&E rates are going up and so this reduced production will definitely raise my PG&E bill. Having dealt with Tesla for seven years I know that I could be waiting many more months for the roofer. Tesla confirmed they are busy because of the rain we have been getting.
Has anyone gone after Tesla for compensation because of loss of production because of a leak that is their fault? I’ve got 25 panels, three power walls and two Teslas so as you can imagine this really does impact my electrical bill. Any and all enlightenment appreciated!
