I truly don’t understand why “voters fatigue” is a thing in the NBA. If a player deserves to win MVP every year than that player shock get MVP every year.

For example if prime Bron or MJ deserved MVP every year then they should get it every year another player shouldn’t get the award because the media got tired of the same dude winning

Like people talk about Jokic should’ve been going on 4 straight rn and that Embiid practically begged for it (yes I know Embiid had a very legitimate case but still begged for it). Like if Jokic is the most valuable player year in and year out he should get the award every year

It’s weird how the media members who vote on this will openly admit their is voters fatigue so they won’t vote for the guy who should get it every year because he gets it every year smh.

Imagine in Football (soccer) Lionel Messi only had like 4 Ballon D’ors instead of 8 because of “voters fatigue” LOL

“Voters Fatigue” is a JOKE which NBA media created for either for no reason or probably to preserve past greats so current greats don’t pass them in MVPs smh it’s a COMPLETE JOKE!

Rankings are based off casual stats mixed with personal preference (i.e. Would you pick player A or player B for your team?). There are a few rankings that are debatable (ex. Murray, Booker, George), so I totally understand if you do not fully agree.

Instead of letting an opposing team take the last shot of a quarter, why don't teams foul when the other team has the ball at the end of the quarter (e.g with like 15 seconds to go in the 2nd quarter and the shotclock at 20 seconds). The reasoning being that PPP (points-per-possession) for '23 is around 1.15 overall(0.98 for half court possessions). Average FT percentage is at 78% this season. So if you just let the opposing team run their offense they will get an average of 1 point in the half court perhaps slightly lower because they are trying to milk the clock. On the other hand if you foul with say 15 seconds left, they will get 1.5 points on average and then your team will get 1 point on average on the ensuing possession resulting in a total of 0.5 point advantage for your opponent as opposed to 1 point. Not a huge advantage but still it seems like something that is worth it at least from a stats/ game theory perspective. Along the same logic, I think a 2 for 1 where you run your half court offense and then foul the opponent to get the ball for the final possession may make more sense than two rushed offensive possesions to end the quarter.

This is only the second time since 1971 (when the stat began being tracked) that five rookies started an NBA game. The only other time this happened was the, when the Warriors started Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins, Chris Wright, Jeremy Tyler, and Mickell Gladness.

I'm not expecting this to get too much traction, I just thought I'd bring two of my interests together with this post. I'm going to give a broad description for each Pokémon and then follow it with a basketball player. Don't look too deep into it.
