I hope NBC gets television rights for the NBA

The NBA on ESPN and ABC is ass, ass. Not only do they not have a quality pregame show or NBA show, but the games don’t come on antenna tv enough. There’s no excuse for a game not to be on every Saturday and Sunday, while the NFL is away. There should be morning and afternoon games.

When the NBA used to be on NBC, it was exciting to see Bob Costas go through the headlines leading up to the game. It was exciting to see the sitdown interview and hear the theme music. It was exciting to see NBA Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad and Willow Bay. It was professionalism across the board.

Nothing is done right at ESPN/ABC — absolutely nothing. There is nothing I look forward to when I watch their content. Mike Greenberg was the closest thing to professionalism, and they took him off the pregame. Perk and Malika is not cutting it for me, and JJ is stale. Richard Jefferson is good.

Trying to get back into the NBA

Not sure if this is the place to post but i've recently been trying to get back into the NBA and I used to watch games every now and then back in 2017/2018. When I'd watch the games back then I'd be watching Boston Celtics the most. Haven't seen any games in so many years but have checked on scores every now and then (play-offs, grand finals, etc.). I wanted to know what's the best way to get back into the sport (I obviously want to continue supporting Celtics and understand the game better).

Anyone notice this Luka/Kai highlight got 4.8 million views?!? That's like 20x more than most of the NBA posts this year.

My math ain't great, but this particular NBA post on Instagram has a lot more MFing views than most the NBA Instagram posts this year!

I'm telling you if these guys make the finals the NBA brass will be creaming their pants because this is the most exciting duo in years!

They have that Shaq/Kobe, Pippen/Jordan, Mahomes/Kelci IT factor.

The Blazers are starting Scoot Henderson, Rayan Rupert, Kris Murray, Toumani Camara, and Duop Reath today, as Simons, Grant, Brogdon, Sharpe, Ayton, Thybulle, and Justin Minaya are all out today. This is only the second time since 1971 (when the stat began being tracked) that five rookies started an NBA game. The only other time this happened was the last game of the 2012 season, when the Warriors started Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins, Chris Wright, Jeremy Tyler, and Mickell Gladness.

From someone who has been out of the loop on the NBA for over a decade, how TF is Mike Conley still playing AND a pivotal part of the T-Wolves?

Due to lack of time (demanding work and parenthood), I haven’t followed the NBA and T-Wolves in a long time. I keep hearing how Conley is so important to the team. Then I remember Conley playing wayyyy back in the day and don’t recall him as being a big difference maker. Is he just more efficient now in his old age? Is he making the “smart” plays that only an old chap could do?
