https://discord.gg/guER8nCEHk   1584 teams across 132 leagues have drafted. Let's see what happened.

As a reminder, here is the ADP sheet, and it is finalized with all drafts being done.

I'm not going to list out the first round this year, you can see it from the ADP sheet. Instead, let's dig into the details.

Top 10 Players with biggest spread between min and max pick (drafted over 20 times)

Player Min Max
Joe Burrow 41 138
Taysom Hill 91 191
Pat Freiermuth 86 178
Dalton Schultz 82 175
Jaylen Wright 108 191
Dallas Goedert 79 159
Brock Purdy 64 165
Jordan Love 55 130
C.J. Stroud 37 103
Tyler Lockett 103 171

This list is a little more interesting than last year. Last year it was all TEs, and while you have a couple on the list still, suddenly it’s the quarterbacks who are all over the place. For the names on the list, this isn’t overly surprising, Burrow is coming back from a lost season due to injury, Purdy is or isn’t a product of the team he is on, Love had a great ending to the season after a slow start, and Stroud has a ton of weapons, but needs a massive season to meet expectations. It will certainly be an interesting year to see where these 4 land by end of the season.

Top 10 Players who moved earlier (from first draft to last)

Player ADP Growth
Jordan Mason -32.39
Jerome Ford -13.36
Geno Smith -13.14
Caleb Williams -12.66
Taysom Hill -11.83
Rashee Rice -11.21
Kirk Cousins -9.26
Josh Downs -8.88
Brian Thomas -8.84
Jaxon Smith-Njigba -8.62

*Note: Filtered to players selected more than 20 times.
Names that make sense here pretty easily. Rashee Rice slowly moved up as it was clear he’d start as the WR1 for KC. Jerome Ford gained steam as the current RB1 for the Browns. Brian Thomas and Josh Downs are young receivers who are gaining attention. This will be an interesting list to see where they sit at the end of the season.

Top 10 Players who moved later (from first draft to last)

Player ADP Drop
Jared Goff 16.89
Jahan Dotson 14.3
Khalil Herbert 13.06
Dallas Goedert 10.39
Justin Herbert 10.01
Pat Freiermuth 9.91
Ty Chandler 9.84
Antonio Gibson 9.55
Darnell Mooney 8.87
Samaje Perine 7.8

*Note: Filtered to players selected more than 20 times.

Nothing super interesting here. Some backup RBs that slid, probably because their usage in preseason didn't show they were in line to take anything over.

Positional Drafting Strategies

Last year, the consensus top 5s were 1) Choosing RBs as their first pick and 2) More aligned with how many teams chose that draft strategy (Numbers in the 20s-30s instead of High teens). I think we’re starting to see a shift in draft strategy now that the NFL seems to be moving away from Bellcow’s. Hero RB still has a place, but compared to last year, seeing only 1 entry in premier that starts with RB is a pretty huge shift.

Zero RB AND Zero WR

Always want to look at these two to see what people are trying out in NarFFL

Zero RB

1st 5 Rounds Count
WR/WR/WR/TE/QB 14
WR/WR/QB/WR/TE 10
WR/WR/WR/QB/TE 8
WR/WR/QB/TE/WR 7
WR/WR/WR/QB/WR 5
WR/WR/TE/QB/WR 4
WR/WR/QB/WR/WR 4
WR/WR/WR/WR/QB 3
WR/QB/WR/WR/TE 3
WR/QB/WR/WR/WR 2
WR/QB/WR/TE/WR 2
WR/WR/WR/TE/WR 2
WR/WR/QB/QB/WR 1
WR/TE/QB/WR/WR 1
WR/WR/TE/WR/QB 1
WR/TE/QB/TE/WR 1
WR/WR/WR/WR/TE 1

69 teams went Zero RB this year. That is easily an all time high for NarFFL.

Zero WR

1st 5 Rounds Count
RB/RB/QB/TE/RB 3
RB/RB/TE/TE/QB 1
RB/RB/TE/RB/QB 1
RB/RB/RB/RB/RB 1
RB/QB/RB/RB/TE 1
RB/RB/RB/QB/TE 1

8 teams tried out Zero WR this season. As usual, we’ll check in on them at the end of the year to see where they ended up.
