Can someone eli5 what’s going on here? The way people are talking about this sounds like the city of St. Louis has a slam dunk case. Why is that I genuinely know nothing about the situation other than the rams moved the team. What do all these random owners have to do with it.

Well, every owner has to vote on the team to move and its usually a collaboration between multiple owners. Jerry Jones really advocated for the move as he has big ties in los angeles and saw it as more profit for the league. If there's some shadiness going on with how the move was handled, these owners are probably the ones most involved besides kroenke.

Sounds like there is some sort of documents or correspondence they want them to present but they haven't turned over in a timely manner.

I'm very surprised the NFL and the involved owners are not coughing up a settlement sum.

Can't imagine they'll enjoy opening up their books to the public during these court proceedings.

STL doesn’t want money. NFl and Kroenke ducked them over badly. They want to drag this out as long as possible.

Glad the Rams are back in LA, but STL deserves whatever dollars they can get.

I just want a team tbh. It would be nice to not have to drive 3.5 hours to catch a game lol

Yea terminating sanctions are kinda severe for failure to comply with a discovery order unless there has been some serious fuckery beforehand. I'd assume the court would at least start with an adverse inference instead.

The swerve we need is for Jerry Richardson's music to hit.

At what point can the judge impose the “Death Sentence” judgement because of their noncompliance on subpoenas and discovery? Is this a calculated move by the NFL and these owners that discovery would be worse for them (embarrassment, fan revolt, etc) than any judgement they are forced to pay?

Why can’t chargers move there?? They literally have no fans in Southern California??

I dunno, I think Herbie is genuinely creating buzz for the franchise, and I think there are enough disgruntled fans across the league to switch allegiances.

This is so tired. No we aren't the Cowboys, but we do have fans.
