TIL that King Henry VIII was buried next to Jane Seymour; she was his third wife and the mother of his only son. His only son was King Edward VI, and King Edward VI died before having any children.

When Henry VIII got rid of his queens he tried to erase them by destroying portraits, letters and other objects connected with them. Despite his efforts, they are arguably more well-known than him. Isn't it ironic that his most beloved queen, Jane Seymour is the one we know the least about?

I know it's a chick flick, but *Somewhere in Time* (1980) was a great film, with just a tiny dose of science fiction added to an otherwise period piece. Superman-era Christopher Reeves, breathtakingly gorgeous Jane Seymour, and the ever-awesome Christopher Plummer made this movie an instant classic

Why exactly do people dislike Jane Seymour?

Just like the questions says. I've seen her be the least favorite of the wives, and typically lose popularity polls. I'm just very curious as to why people tend to not favor her as much as the others.

Edit: Also, Henry would have left Anne anyway. Jane had nothing to do with their relationship falling apart. Anne and Henry's relationship having no sons did that. Regardless of if Jane was in the picture, Henry would not have remained with her.

Edit #2: I'm honestly fascinated by the amount of dislike for her that comes because she did the same thing Anne did. I also find through the comments that she's a bit more blamed for her role in Anne's downfall, then the men who actually orchestrated it.

I'm seeing a lot of similarities between the hate that Anne gets given exactly to Jane by Anne fans, which is just an interesting way that the cycle repeats itself.

I can also agree that based on what little we do know if her, she does pale in comparison to the other Queens. While I think her small accomplishments were great, I can understand why the majority of you all don't. I like to believe if given the time she'd do much more. But we also will never know, so I don't begrudge anyone for not liking her based on what little we do know of her.
