Heads up yes I know this is one of the best plots and sacrifices ever and I wouldn’t have the game change this but my question is what the Halo universes canon reason why this happened is.
In the 10th mission the Pillar of Autumn Noble 6 was about to board Captain Keys’s pelican to board the Pillar of Autumn. While Emile uses the MAC gun to clear a path. While doing so Emile is ambushed by an Elite Zealot killing Emile. As a result Noble 6 is forced to take the gun to clear a path for the Autumn. After 6 does this a pelican boards the Autumn last second as 6 is left behind to die.
My questions are if Emile was originally using the MAC gun was he going to be taken to the Autumn or was he going to sacrifice himself. And when the pelican boarded at the last second why didn’t keys wait over by the MAC gun or send another pelican to pick him up.
