Sale Racecourse

Also known as Greenwattle Racecourse, the Sale Racecourse is arguably the premier provincial racecourse in the state of Victoria. Located approximately 220kms from the Melbourne CBD, the Sale Racecourse attracts spectators and trainers from far and wide looking to engage in some of the Gippsland Regions best racing action.

The Sale Racecourse is triangular in shape with an overall distance of 2040m. The main feature of the course is its huge 400m long straight.

On the last Sunday every October, locals and tourists alike flock to the Sale Racecourse for the running of The Sale Cup, the self proclaimed 'jewel in the crown of Gippsland Racing'. Race goers take advantage of the fabulous Greenwattle facilities which include Sponsors and function rooms, fully licensed bars and the ever popular members lounge which is situated right at the winning post giving owners and trainers the best view of their thoroughbred superstar saluting the judge.
