Link to original sources (No blogspam)
When a website embeds or copies content (articles, videos, interviews, etc.) from another source without adding significant information, that is blogspam.
If a second source contributes significant and meaningful analysis or commentary on the original post it may be allowable, but wherever possible please try and find the original source (often posted at the bottom of an article) and post that one instead.
3
Google Play Store links are preferred
Posting the Google Play Store link is the best way to share a game. If another source is posted, it must include information or content not available on the official Google Play Store page or it may be removed.
4
Include the name of the game in the title
When posting a link to a game or content about a game, be sure to include the name of the game in the title. A screenshot with a witty title might get upvoted by people who already know the game but its annoying to everyone else.
5
Provide links when suggesting games
If you suggest a game to another user in the comments, provide a link to that game's Google Play Store page. You can do this easily by utilizing the Play Store Link Bot. Instructions/Info.
6
Game requests must start with [REQUEST] and meet requirements
All requests must have a detailed description, with at least three key points you're looking for in a game. Additionally, your post must start with [REQUEST].
7
No Piracy or APK's
Do not post links to pirated content including sites that contain links to pirated content. Do not link to even freely available APK's, instead link directly to the Play Store. Offenders will be banned immediately.
8
NSFW posts must be marked
Submissions and comments that are not properly labeled as NSFW (Not Safe For Work) will be removed.
9
Surveys and polls are not allowed
Academic surveys and other types of polls are not permitted. You might try someplace like r/samplesize .
10
Do not be rude or offensive to anyone
Do not make posts or comments that are offensive to anyone of any background whatsoever. Gaming is an inclusive hobby and we will not tolerate hate speech of any kind. If you have any doubts about whether your comment is too abusive or rude, it probably is.
11
Follow reddits self-promotion rules (10% rule)
Self-Promotion is for active redditors only. New users must be a member of the site for 30 days and have earned 50 karma as well as being an active user before being allowed to promote their own content. Keep your self-promotion (including comments about your content) below 10%.
Be recently active.
Post about your game no more than once per month.
"It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a website, it's not okay to be a website with a reddit account."
Include a tag [DEV] in the title of self-promotion
When submitting links to your own games, be sure to disclose that you are the developer by putting the tag [DEV] before the title of the submission. This keeps everything transparent with the readers and lets us know you are the one submitting so we can interact directly with the developers.
