Posts about Jack Benny
Any fans of golden age of radio? Iโm a fan of Jack Benny in particular and was thrilled to discover This Day In Jack Benny. Each episode not only contains a full episode of The Jack Benny radio program but at the top of the show the podcast host gives breaks down whatโs happening in the news around the episodes airdate which gives great context to the references in the show.
Anyhow, recently they started airing the audiobook version of Jack Benny and the Golden Age of American Radio Comedy in weekly installments also, which Iโve never seen before.

Iโm not associated at all with the podcast, just wanted to spread the word and see if anyone else was a fan!
Hello Two Set, Iโm a fan and love your videos. Have you ever done an episode about or heard of American comedian, Jack Benny? He was a radio, movie & television comedian active from the 1930s thru 70s and passed away many years ago. He created a fictional version of himself, that among other things, he pretended to be a terrible violinist. He actually was a good player and owned a Stradivarius which his family donated to The Los Angeles Philharmonic after his death, Please do an episode reviewing his violin โartistryโ. He had a younger Issac Stern appear on his sketch comedy show in 1955. I pasted a link to a YouTube video of one of his shows featuring his โbadโ playing. Thank you and love you both.
