Carol Burnett exists in BCS

Im rewatching BCS & in the episode "Rebecca" Chuck brings up Carol Burnett and i thought it was funny that she exists in this universe both as hereself and as her character Marion. But the thought occurred to me that Jimmy never thought it was weird that this nice old lady in Nebraska looks and sounds exactly like Carol Burnett. Overthinking it i know but what do u guys think the lore reason for this might be?

Carol Burnett’s character poll

So, all we know is that 90 year old Carol Burnett will make an appearance, and her character is named Marion.

There are lots of theories and predictions. Which seems best and most feasible to you? Let’s hear your theories and justifications. I personally do not have a clue, but it is fun to speculate. Be nice.

  1. Judge Papadoumian

  2. Howard’s mother

  3. Kim’s grandmother

  4. Kim’s mother

  5. A Sandpiper resident

  6. A totally new character

  7. Walt’s mother

TIL Bob Mackie designed the Miss Starlett costume Carol Burnett wore on The Carol Burnett Show's "Went with the Wind,” a Gone with the Wind parody. Mackie designed the gown without any help from the comedic team and Burnett said everyone seeing it for the first time couldn't keep a straight face.

Some love for Carol Burnett

Loved the episode with Carol Burnett and thought I'd share a story about her and one of her Conan appearances.

My daughter was an intern at Conan and one of the jobs she had was meeting celebs at the curb and bringing them to their dressing room. She met lots of celebs, drove comedians from the San Diego Airport to their ComiCon appearances, swooned over Dax and Goldblum, but she said the nicest experience she ever had was with Carol Burnett.

She said she when greeted Carol she ask my daughters name and all about her as they walked to the dressing room, which almost never happened. Afterwards she took her back out and Carol was the only celeb to ever remember her name and she wished her well in her studies and future. Carol was was so kind and caring when she had no reason/need to be.

My daughter was certainly aware of Carol before this, but didn't grow up watching the show every week the way that I did. Nothing could have made me happier than to hear this about someone I idolized as a kid, so I thought I'd share.

For anyone curious, my daughter never did get to meet or interact with Conan or Andy as she was told not to make eye contact or engage with them. I know Conan has said he was unaware of this rule and, being a big fan of the podcast, my guess is this was more about keeping him focused as opposed to ego. If he started interacting with/performing for every intern they would never have gotten the show to air! It took nothing away from the experience for her.
