NBA
Gonna be another good night for me just not sure how good of a night yet. didn't want to sweat but i had 5 absolute nukes going into this last game, didn't have jokic though so prob can't bink. Tomorrows slate is absolutely going to be a damn frenzy it's going to be wild. Kind of like today tbh. Late season NBA is here so be ready for updates as always.
If discord is something you are interested in, Will have a link below where i have in-depth content going over each slate, player pools for cash/gpps. cores and much more.
Edit: just wanna say, for tomorrow. rockets have started jabari at the 5 at times. i think the likely scenario is jabari or jeff green. if they go bari at the 5 obv hes a nuke. if they go jeff then meh. if landale is for some reason at the 5 hes a nuke.
Edit: fred, green, brooks, green, jabari
fred, green, brook, jabari, green,
fred, green brooks, jabari, landale
rockets - combos of lineups they can go with. i think landale is probably the least likely outcome. obv if jabari starts at the 5 i absolute love him
Edit: pp -
Edit: some celtics out - think starting lineup will be jrue, white, hauser, tatum, kornet. with that being said i absolutely love kornet, hauser one of the better values on the slate. tatum one of the best spend ups on the slate. jrue/white both solid. pritchard firmly in play for value. brissett is a viable dart in large field gpps
Edit: Jalen Williams is OUT - SGA just shot up to the best or 2nd best spend up on the slate. i prefer him straight up to tatum but tatum might be a bit better PPD but love both.. i really like josh giddey now. cason wallace should start and is playable at his price. dort firmly in play for value to, interesting pivot off dillon brooks chalk, hayward is a fine dart. main stand outs are SGA and josh giddey
Edit: amen starting, one of the best values on slate. love bari at the 5
Edit: Goodwin and konchar are IN - waiting on lineup here. but assuming GG starts i really like him in gpps. aldama very solid at no ownership. and i really like laravia. those my fav 3 in gpps
Edit:
Lineup alert: Grizzlies will start Goodwin, Kennard, Konchar, Aldama, Jemison on Tuesday.
GG just GPP only play for me now. laravia big downgrade. i do really like goodwin, jemison solid value. aldama solid
thunder are starting hayward, hes a fair value,
Edit: Keegan is OUT - kevin huerter is an intriguing value now off the brooks/dort chalk of the world. still pref brooks but might prefer huerter to dort. but okc did lock so doesn't really matter. monk should see a bump hes firmly in play in gpps. i think duarte starts but i will not be going there

Have you ever watched a March Madness game? Even if it's two smaller schools, the energy is always electric. Fans going crazy over everything. That's what makes March Madness so special to watch. The passion and love the fans have for their team and the game itself, you just don't get that in the NBA. Now don't get me wrong, there are loud, rowdy crowds, but it don't have shit on college hoops. Maybe it's because big NBA games are so expensive that only rich folk who don't really care about the game can attend. Idk. But imo, NBA crowds need to be louder and more passionate.
Bill Simmons is a sportswriter, television personality, and podcaster. After many successful years at ESPN as a writer, tv host, and creator (of Grantland & 30 for 30), he signed a lucrative deal to partner with HBO. He currently hosts "The Bill Simmons Podcast", and founded TheRinger.com and Ringer Podcast Network in 2016
As someone who's been listening to Bill going back to his BS report days, one of the years he has brought up in terms of a great playoff was 1993. (He's said it was the best year from start to finish that brought so much to the table).
That postseason had a round 1 in which half the series went the best-of-5 distance and 3 other series almost did as well.
Round 2 had Barkley vs Robinson, Sonics/Rockets going the distance, Ewing vs Mourning, and MJ basically ending the Lenny Wilkens era in Cleveland
Round 3 had 2 great series including a pair of games that got rewatch treatment (NYK/CHC Game 4, SEA/PHX Game 5) and that's not including the Charles Smith game.
The Finals despite Jordan's 41 PPG had 3 of CHI's 4 wins by a combined 10 points and of course triple OT.
One of the best I can recall was 2011- Simmons did not one but two round 1 recaps with Wired quotes treatment:
You had no round 1 duds, in his words:
"You're usually stuck with three or four turds in Round 1, or as they're more commonly known, "The NBA TV Teams." Not this time around.
Our only sweep (Celtics-Knicks) featured two riveting games in Boston, including Melo's sublime 42-17 in Game 2 that reminded everyone, "That's why you trade five dudes for Carmelo Anthony." Pacers-Bulls and Sixers-Heat ended prematurely but earned Duke The Trainer Memorial, "They don't think it's a damned show, they think it's a damned fight!" status. Zombies-Nuggets had a Hagler-Hearns pace -- both teams came out swinging and never stopped. Lakers-Hornets and Blazers-Mavs featured a few dramatic twists on par with D'Angelo getting murdered before fizzling out in Game 6. Hawks-Magic gave us our mandatory Round 1 upset, laid the groundwork for Dwight Howard fleeing Orlando and broke the NBA TV curse. And Spurs-Grizzlies ranks among the best Round 1s ever. Last Wednesday, my friend texted me just to say, "these NBA playoffs have been one of the best experiences of my sporting life." We hadn't even had a Game 6 yet!"
You had the rise of OKC, apex D-Rose, the fall of the LA/San Antonio duopoly after 11 Finals in 12 years, the ultimate sports villains in 2011 Miami, KD vs Dirk, LeBronDown.
In one of his first Grantland articles, Simmons brilliantly described the evil empire aura Miami had going into those Finals:
"The Decision was the best thing that happened to the NBA in 15 years.
The year leading up to The Decision spiked TV ratings, boosted Internet traffic, provoked an onslaught of media opinion and generated more mainstream interest than any NBA storyline since Kobe and Shaq had a year-long falling out that was scripted by Vince McMahon, the Lifetime network, and the writers of Law and Order.
The Decision special drew a better rating than the 2008 Finals, became an iconic moment, turned Jim Gray into a punching bag, gave bloggers a month of free shots at ESPN and turned “Taking my talents to South Beach” into a jack-of-all-trades phrase that meant you were about to leave your job, take a dump or pleasure yourself.
The Decision’s aftermath created the league’s most polarizing juggernaut in two decades. The Heat were booed in sold-out arenas across the country even as they were selling more jerseys than any other team. For the first five weeks of the regular season, the constant negativity affected the players; you could see it on their faces.
In the words of the great Cliff Poncier, all that negativity eventually made them stronger. They reclaimed their status as title favorites, rolled through Boston and Chicago, made the Finals, and morphed into something of a preening, self-satisfied, overconfident bully: basketball’s version of Mike Tyson in the 1980s, so athletically overpowering that it actually seemed to psyche out opponents.1 During that whole time, they never stopped being compelling. Not once."
Indirectly, the looming lockout gave that postseason a sense of urgency for so many teams.

You think it's too late? I feel like the Hornets could find a role for me?
It's such a shame that they're following the same cash-grabbing route as other NBA-licensed games even though they know that majority of the players are on free-to-play accounts.
Alperen Sengun is the youngest player in NBA history to have a season averaging: 20+ PPG 5+ RPG 5+ APG 50%+ FG . Amazing year from him, and he is one of my predictions to make his first all star team next year. I wish him an amazing recovery.
