This is the Subreddit that exposes the Ripple Scam. Ripple Inc is a private company, which still owns more than 50% of all XRP, and continues dumping them on gullible bagholders. That's the definition of security scam. On top of that, they do this by making misleading and false claims about "utility" of XRP. This subreddit gives a platform to expose the Ripple Scam in all its forms.

Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank.

Iโ€™m sure most of you here have seen XRPโ€™s staggering performance today. The reason for this post is because most people on this sub dislike XRP due to its centralised nature. However, the following reason - in my opinion - is why everyone should be cheering for Ripple in the ongoing lawsuit, no matter your opinion on XRP.

Letโ€™s face it, XRP holders have had a rough few years after the lawsuit was announced in December 2020. However, as the years have gone on, we have seen countless amazing projects enter and drop out of the top 10 - Chainlink, Monero, Tezos - to name a few. Guess which coin has amazingly retained its top 10 spot, despite having the SEC on its back? You guessed it: XRP.

Regardless of whether you hold, love or hate XRP, Ripple are doing what pretty much all of us would love to do, and thatโ€™s give a huge middle finger to the SEC. One must realise that an SEC victory will put so many other projects under scrutiny, and this will not favour crypto well as a whole. We will witness many of our favourite projects being placed under the microscope of the regulators. However, if the lawsuit ends with a Ripple victory, it may potentially set up crypto for a (mini) bull run, as regulators are forced to lay off as we see some sort of regulatory clarity in our beloved industry. The crypto industry as a whole is likely to piggy-back off the success of the lawsuit, should we see a favourable victory. No one wants to be in Rippleโ€™s position, but Iโ€™m sure we can all appreciate that Ripple has taken one for the team and is fighting one of the most important battles - not just for themselves, but for the entire crypto industry.

Tldr: FUCK THE SEC

Jed McCaleb initially has eight billion XRP given to him for his initial work with a past project that is now named Ripple. He left Ripple to work on Stellar (XLM) in 2014, and ever since he has been dumping his XRP tokens in the market, but now he is almost running out!

According to data provided by Jed Balance, which is a site dedicated to tracking Jed's XRP holdings, he now only have about 111 million XRP left in his name (or this particular wallet/account).

He has been dumping about 4 million XRP tokens per day this month, going at this phase we might see him run out of xrp in a single month, of a few months time if he changes how much he sells everyday. OR he might altogether just stop selling again like what he did around 2021.
