Old Player, Old Fan, New Player, New Fan Again… wanted to get an update on the current storylines and standings via the analogy of NBA players. Comparing character choice, playstyle, peak years (for example 2016 HungryBox aligns with 2016 Steph Curry) etc.
Mango - Lebron James
Has been at it 20+ years and is still good enough to be the best in the world on any given night. Definitely past his late 2010s prime where he was arguably the best ever. Generally very aggressive but still extremely cerebral and plays his opponent more than anything else.
HungryBox - Steph Curry
Plays the game unlike anyone else, much to the dismay of some purists and old heads. Both consistently won over and over beginning around 2016 and lasting until recently slowing down. Because of the range and kill power, both players force opponents to play their game.
Mew2King - James Harden
/Technically/ the best player in the world at his best, but for some reason or another couldn’t get it done when he needed to. Takes advantage of things their opponents didn’t even know were apart of the game.
aMSa - Luka Doncic
Despite the obvious limitations of the character, still creative and technically and fundamentally sound enough to be the best in the world on any given night. Still relatively new to the scene. On track to have and all time great and unique career.
Hax$ - Derrick Rose
So fucking swaggy it makes me want to cry. Both careers cut short due to injury. Arguably the prototype for what was to come.

Just going to have this post up for now, feel free to ask me anything until vid comes out maybe tonight or disc video tomorrow. might make some updates through out the night if i don't post one <3

According to Tom Haberstroh, FTA attempts per game have dropped recently, possibly a quiet behind-the-scenes attempt to have officials allow the game to be more physical and to stop rewarding foul baiting or ticky tack fouls

The game has been literally the same for half a decade on PC, the same recycled game over and over again. No current-gen, no anti-cheat, no new assets, the same thing over and over.
The ratings of NBA 2K24 on PC (Steam) are absolutely horrendous, historically bad, one of the worst rated games on the platform. The servers on PC are absolutely dead, and it’s much, much worse compared to last year.
Do you think Take Two/2K will finally give PC players current-gen, especially after this year’s absolutely HORRIBLE ratings?
This is welcome news given Golden State and Fakers suck on road and have more road games remaining than home games.
We always complain when they kid us and Sabonis there, but when we finally have something to show for, against the 1st seed on the west, all you can see is Celtics-Mavericks posts?
Come on guys, let’s show our team some love
P.S. I got no idea when you get those clips from, tried it out once and it came out with abysmal quality
