Fun (and kinda sad) fact: Williams only needs to average 225 pass yards a game his rookie year and he’d be the bears single season record holder for yards

[–] Bearserbkeb 936 points937 points  (35 children)

If you don’t like that you don’t like Bears football!

[–] BearsThe-Implication-0 736 points737 points  (33 children)

I don’t like bears football

[–] Bears-ImJustSaiyan- 219 points220 points  (27 children)

The last time I liked Bears football was 2018.

[–]JumpShotJoker 62 points63 points  (25 children)

As Chicago resident, I haven't enjoyed sports since jordan

[–] ChiefsGoobaka 71 points72 points  (17 children)

Cubs run?

[–]MissionSalamander5 87 points88 points  (12 children)

And the White Sox also won. So did the Blackhawks. It hasn’t been all bad there.

[–] BearsTheBigRedCheese_ 37 points38 points  (10 children)

Truth hurts, but Chicago doesn’t care about the white sox.

[–]RamsDevilsBlackhawks 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Doesn’t help that the owner has run the team in to the ground repeatedly outside of one good year (Bulls too) and is now coming with his hat out asking for a measly billion dollars in public funding for a new stadium while taunting the fans by flirting with Nashville. Jerry Reinsdorf can sit on a cactus and spin he’s become like Bill Wirtz where we just have to wait out Father Time before the teams will have a chance to be good again

[–] PackersThaBomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe true on the north side… not true for the whole city though

[–]Quiet_Dimension_8423 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the White Sox have more mainstream hiphop cred than the cubs, so they gotta be selling merch at a decent clip

[–] BearsMoskiNX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do :(

[–]JumpShotJoker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True. But I don't follow baseball. Mostly nfl, nba, it wasn't gratifying for me

[–] Broncossteve1186 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Chicago has won titles in 3 different sports since Jordan retired. Few other cities can claim that.

  • LA
  • Boston
  • Denver
  • Tampa

I think that’s all?

Plus Chicago had two different teams from the same damn sport win it over that span.

[–] BearsBearsFan3417 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me either

[–] RamsOptimuswine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“I’m tired, Robbie.”

[–] Bearserbkeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t either.

[–] ChargersForgotMyRemembrall 294 points295 points  (44 children)

The fact that they’ve never had a 4,000 yard passer is one of the craziest NFL stats out there.

[–] JetsGVas22 322 points323 points  (15 children)

Namath had one for the Jets in 1967 (in a 14 game season), the first person to do it. It took 12 years for another player to reach that mark.

The Jets also haven't had another 4000 yard passer in the 57 years since.

[–] SteelersFreidhiem 88 points89 points  (4 children)

thats fuckin wild

[–] BearsNeat_On_The_Rocks 66 points67 points  (3 children)

The Bears and Jets are disturbingly similar franchises.

[–] Giants Packers Bandwagonboblikestheysky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Imagine if this year Williams and Rodgers means you both end that streak

[–]JumpShotJoker 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Rodgers, do your thing

[–] PackersVashMM 83 points84 points  (1 child)

4 snaps and then a snap?

[–] Raidersjustlookingokaywyou 22 points23 points  (0 children)

oh snap

[–] BearsLilJabsVert 82 points83 points  (6 children)

Cutler was close one time, but much like the decisions made at QB, our HC’s are also morons and that particular one benched him for Jimmy Clausen

[–] PanthersFuckRayBradbury 35 points36 points  (4 children)

I’m so sorry you had to experience the trauma of watching Jimmy Pickles on the field

[–] Saintslangand87 26 points27 points  (3 children)

I’m still waiting for Mel Kiper to hand in his resignation over that one.

[–] Raidersjustlookingokaywyou 15 points16 points  (2 children)

You do NOT pass on a player of Trent Dilfer's caliber.

[–] Saintslangand87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How dare you select … checks notes … Marshall Faulk ahead of him.

[–] EaglesSjgolf891 40 points41 points  (6 children)

The Eagles not having one til 2019 was even crazier. Everyone knows of the Bears' QB woes. The Eagles have no HOF level QB but have had a few popular QBs who were franchise guys over the years

[–] Eaglesholymacaronibatman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Wentz was our first in and only QB to do it in 2019, before that McNabb would have likely gotten it in 2004 but sat the final game of the season when he was 125 yards short.

[–] Lions tastelessshark 36 points37 points  (6 children)

They still think the forward pass was a mistake.

[–] BearsGoombaStoppingHoes 40 points41 points  (2 children)

It was and you cannot tell me otherwise

[–] Bearsforgotmyoldname90210 10 points11 points  (2 children)

The Ironic part about that, the Bears brought in the T formation.

[–] Bearsjrsixx 9 points10 points  (1 child)

And apparently thrilled the nation.

[–] BearsDr_imfullofshit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

and it's not been really close either, 3k is usually great for us. I don't think anyone's broken 3500 since Cutler, and that only happened a few times.

[–] Bearslampsslater77 48 points49 points  (3 children)

He'd also need to average 1.76 TD/game to be the single season passing TD leader

[–] PackersStallisPalace 18 points19 points  (1 child)

tbf that's not as shameful. Only 4 guys averaged 1.76 TD/gm or more last season. More than half the league averaged 225yds/gm

Though last year was a notoriously down year for QB numbers

[–]CG2L 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ground and Pound

[–] Cowboysfurryvengeance 14 points15 points  (5 children)

Remarkable that cutler didn’t get there

[–] Bearsdrummerboysam 12 points13 points  (3 children)

We flipped OC's on him every year and his best receivers for most his time here were Johnny Knox pre-injury and literally Devin Aromashodu. Really bad OLs most of the time, too.

When it was actually attainable, dipshit HC benches him the final game and he misses the mark by 160 yards.

[–] BearsBassDrumJay 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Every time the Bears and Quarterbacks are in a post, some form of this comment is posted and it’s swiftly replied by “Cutler could’ve done it, fuck Trestman”.

[–] BearsDunlocke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good. Double fuck that guy.

[–] Bears_ravenclaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cutler would have, not could have. Cutler acted like he didn’t care but he wanted that. Makes it even worse

[–] Raiderschemicalxv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And the guy people are trying to argue that the Bears should keep has only hit 225 pass yards 6 times in 40 games lmao

[–] Bearsthereal_et 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stupid tangent, but man I miss my senior year being able to go to Wendy's every other day for lunch. Double stack, small fries and a small drink (refillable) for $3.17? It was only rivaled by McD's and their 59 cent hamburger days

[–] PatriotsBloated_Hamster 13 points14 points  (4 children)

Not if Wendy's CEO has anything to say about it.

[–] PackersBeHereNow91 28 points29 points  (3 children)

You either die hating Squidward and believing Mr Krabs is an unrealistic depiction of capitalism, or you live long enough to identify with Squidward’s apathy and realize Krabs is a very typical middle manager.

[–] Chiefsuwanmirrondarrah 37 points38 points  (1 child)

This has convinced me, I will be the number 1 pick. It is a burden I am willing to bear.

[–] PackersWallFair7685 21 points22 points  (15 children)

Id argue the team landing spot is more valuable than the slight drop off in pay for picks 1 vs 2 vs 3, etc. In 3 yrs he will be eligible for an extension, which if all goes well, could be like 60m+ per year. That is goal #1.

[–] Buccaneers BuccaneersHylianPikachu 25 points26 points  (10 children)

From a team landing spot perspective, I think the Bears are also the best. You get a great WR1, a solid TE, and a team who may take another WR in the first round. I'd rather be there than Washington or the Patriots.

[–] Packerswolfpack_57 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Yeah. Not accounting for the Bearsness, they would be an abnormally good spot to land for a #1 pick. Only the 9th worst team in the league vs. 1st worst, and with the 9th pick too

[–] Buccaneers BuccaneersHylianPikachu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally, the Panthers were also the 9th worst team in the league last year.

Obviously a different scenario though because they traded one of the best players on their team to move up to 1st overall, so their roster got worse.

[–] Chiefswhiiite80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what it looks like to me. Bears are on a better rebuild trajectory than most of the other bottom tier teams. If this kid is for real, things could start looking up in Chicago next year.

[–]Some-Ear8984 63 points64 points  (21 children)

Maybe that Manning guy should have felt the same.

[–] DolphinsOldeArrogantBastard 111 points112 points  (12 children)

If I recall, it was more Archie didn’t want Eli going there because he felt SD had a history of inept ownership or something like that and how they handled Ryan Leaf.

[–] Bengalsbeerguy_etcetera 149 points150 points  (9 children)

Hindsight is 20/20, but Eli got two rings and Philip got 10 kids.

[–]Pizzashillsmom 65 points66 points  (7 children)

10 kids with the same woman, which means it's probably on purpose. It's not the same as having 10 baby mamas.

[–] Brownsay21690 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Antonio Cromartie sends his regards

[–] Giantsantonimbus 26 points27 points  (1 child)

The question is does he know what's causing it?

[–] Vikings ChargersPoro_the_CV 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Rivers always put up, and never once in his life pulled out. He knows exactly what he was doing.

[–] CowboysMissileWaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna need Antonio Cromartie to weigh in on this

[–] Bearsjrsixx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plus, Eli carried his previously unknown brother to TV stardom. What did Rivers ever do for his brother?

[–] 49ersTwiceLitZone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That sounds just about right

[–] BearsPidesh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One thing that doesn’t really get mentioned in the Elway and Eli decisions is that they refused to go to the Colts and Chargers because of their belief they had toxic cultures rather than just ownership ineptitude. The Colts’ HC at the time was known for being brutal to players and getting no success out of it (something similar to Urban in Jacksonville). Eli and Archie talked to Ryan Leaf who told them that the Chargers gave him no support in his development and with his personal struggles. I feel like media drives the narrative, every time there’s a surefire number 1 pick in a draft class, that they may demand to be traded just because a bad team has the first pick, even though that’s kinda the point of the draft.

[–]TripleThreatTua 23 points24 points  (5 children)

The Manning family already had money, kinda gave Eli more leverage

[–] GiantsWinstonChurchill74 36 points37 points  (4 children)

Caleb Williams has money

[–] NFLianbits 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Not nearly as much

[–] DolphinsFerbtastic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh, $10mil is probably more than Eli had access to when he made his choice.

[–] GiantsWinstonChurchill74 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Sure, and I am sure he wants to earn the number 1 overall pick’s salary. But he could put up a fuss if he wanted to. With out family money, his college earnings are a small fortune.

[–] Cardinals BengalsOhMy98 53 points54 points  (0 children)

He got to have his cake and eat it too, you gotta respect the hustle

[–] GiantsHarpua44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–] BearsSwissyVictory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–] Patriotszi76 269 points270 points  (34 children)

We know. No one else is pulling an Eli.

[–] Bearsdaanluc 120 points121 points  (18 children)

There are still people under most posts who say otherwise. At least they get heavily downvoted by now.

[–] Chargersbasedcharger 116 points117 points  (16 children)

Which is dumb. This comes up every year for all number 1 QBs and the Bears are probably one of the better situations for the best QB drafted in recent memory.

[–] Patriotszi76 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, you'll find idiots everywhere.

[–]n0t_4_thr0w4w4y 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Except for Bo and Elway

[–] ChargersSEND-MARS-ROVER-PICS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bo was a different situation. The Buccs lied to him about the legality of a team visit, stripping him of his NCAA eligibility. You can think the McCaskeys are bad owners (and I do) but they aren't near the level of scumbag that Hugh Culverhouse was.

[–] Bearsmuffinmonk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–] BearsKjriggs20 55 points56 points  (5 children)

[–] BearsEdE0420 52 points53 points  (2 children)

[–] BearsNeat_On_The_Rocks 16 points17 points  (1 child)

[–] Packershanzel44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

[–] EaglesAudrey-Bee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm unfortunately very aware. I live in Chicago, I'm just an Eagles fan. That weather really do be changing

[–] Bearsdrewcast35 460 points461 points  (25 children)

I think I may explode!

Williams said he has been to Chicago once, has heard good things about the rowdiness of Bears fans, and has gone down video rabbit holes studying both Jordan and Payton, two of the city's most iconic athletes.

"I'm 22. I didn't really get to see those players," Williams said. "As the saying goes, the legends live on. That's my goal of playing football -- it's not money, it's not fame ... it's to be immortal. I want to reach that sense of being a legend. Being at the table ... and having a rightful seat through hard work and energy and time I've put into this game that we all love.

"It's appealing to be in a city like that. With legends that you've looked up to ... reach for the standard they set and try to do anything to get there."

[–] BroncosKeathleyWR 359 points360 points  (13 children)

If dude wants to be immortal winning a ring in Chicago will do it. Bears fans LOVE Jim McMahon and all the dude did was hand the ball to Walter and get out of the way. Hell, even if he's the first Bears QB to break 4k yards I think he ends up as a Bears legend.

[–] Bears Coltsyachterotter13 182 points183 points  (4 children)

If he breaks 4K yards and wins a ring here I’m tearing down the Balbo Column and replacing it with a Caleb Williams statue

[–] Bearslampsslater77 54 points55 points  (0 children)

[–] Steelersshortbusridurr 6 points7 points  (1 child)

[–] BearsMatzah_Rella 52 points53 points  (0 children)

What being Franchise-QB starved does to a mf.

[–] BearsTKHawk 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Arguably his injury in 1986 was instrumental in the Bears not winning back-to-back Super Bowls, despite their defense being better than the previous year.

[–] BearsNeat_On_The_Rocks 42 points43 points  (3 children)

I honestly believe the Caleb Williams' floor would still be the best QB in franchise history.

The bar is in the basement, but still

[–]DaeWooLan0s 47 points48 points  (2 children)

That’s the thing people are refusing to admit about Caleb Williams. Sure he has a high ceiling, but if he doesn’t reach it… his floor is still a lot higher than anything we’ve had lol. At this point if he throws 3200 yards and 25 TDs. Thats a ridiculous improvement of what we have now.

[–] BearsAdnonymus 52 points53 points  (5 children)

Reading that quote felt almost as good as sex.

[–]ObligationSlight8771 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Just had sex with wife. Quote was way better.

[–] BearsAdnonymus 7 points8 points  (1 child)

[–] Bearserbkeb 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Quick, someone show him the video of Kaner’s return to the UC this week!

[–] Raiderschemicalxv 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Caleb Williams was born in Washington, DC.

Michael Jordan ended his career in Washington, DC.

Coincidence? Probably.

[–]purple_goop 901 points902 points  (242 children)

Every time he speaks he comes off as super self-aware and chill. Where did this "diva" narrative even start?

[–] BearsShaiFC 593 points594 points  (42 children)

Fake narratives like him wanting ownership or not wanting to play here

Happens every year. We were all calling Stroud stupid due to the fake S2 scores this time last year

[–]n0t_4_thr0w4w4y 123 points124 points  (20 children)

The diva narrative started long before that.

[–] Colts ColtsMcswigginsbar 147 points148 points  (19 children)

I think the whole “Fuck Utah” on his fingernails thing started it. Otherwise I’m not sure where else it would have come from.

[–]Murimadness 81 points82 points  (2 children)

The funny thing about our fanbase is it's pretty much the one main thing I see them point to in him being a diva. Yet I know the minute he paints his fingernails to say "F T P" the meatheads will eat it up. God forbid a kid has little confidence in himself.

[–] SteelersFreidhiem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

100%

[–]LionsAffectionateSlice816 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I fell for the narrative too. And I'll be completely honest if I lost a big football game I would probably cry and hug my mom. I love my mom. The dude loves his mom. That's a franchise QB trait.

[–]n0t_4_thr0w4w4y 116 points117 points  (7 children)

Oklahoma fans pissed that he left when Lincoln was poached

[–] Colts ColtsMcswigginsbar 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ah. Yea that’s totally fair.

[–] RamsHuggly001 31 points32 points  (4 children)

He also painted Fuck ND and Fuck UCLA but he won those games so nobody gave a shit. People pick and choose what to be mad about. Not to mention college football’s audience is the most conservative of the major American sports (unless you count NASCAR) so you got the homophobes out to dog pile on him too. You can still see some of them in r/CFB.

[–] TexansKdot32 35 points36 points  (3 children)

Didn’t the ownership comment come from his dad or am I mistaken?

[–]EvanMobleyGOAT 60 points61 points  (0 children)

His dad, who I think was also talking about long term. Something like “over his career, he’d like to have a piece of a team at some point”.

[–] Bearsbugzeye26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it did

[–] Bearscultweave 9 points10 points  (3 children)

The S2 isn't even really a cognition test, it's for testing hand eye coordination and other mind/body coordination. The narrative that a high/low score meant you're dumb or smart doesn't make sense at all but reddit ran with it anyway.

[–] Bears Bengalsgeneration_D 92 points93 points  (9 children)

With Caleb there’s been a particular abundance of stupid takes nonstop since the start of this past season, because Fields supporters will say anything to smear the guy that might replace their golden boy

[–]VarkingRunesong 65 points66 points  (3 children)

I’m a massive Fields supporter and I have no issues with Caleb at all. He should be the pick. I hope Fields balls out where he goes next and I hope Caleb is the franchise QB the Bears never had.

[–] BearsSnugglyIrishman 25 points26 points  (1 child)

I feel the exact same. I’ve never been more excited in a pick than I was with Fields. I hope he takes off and succeeds wherever he ends up. I also understand you have to keep taking swings on QBs until you get your franchise QB so Caleb’s fine by me.

[–] Bearserbkeb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are not allowed to compartmentalize your feelings like that!

[–] EaglesRah_Rah_RU_Rah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's way bigger than that. People have been shitting on Caleb for years

[–] Bearslkn240 44 points45 points  (3 children)

Dipshits like Mike Florio

[–] Bengals DonDraper75 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yep, same asshole that was trying to get Burrow to refuse to play for the Bengals

[–] DolphinsApatheticFinsFan 182 points183 points  (118 children)

He paints his fingernails and gets emotional sometimes so people had to get takes off since everyone knew he was QB1 since mid-2022.

[–]BillsMampt 92 points93 points  (53 children)

I really think the painted nails are the biggest reason tbh

[–] DolphinsApatheticFinsFan 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I know the dumbest parts of the NFL Take Industrial Complex hate that shit.

[–] BearsThe-Implication-0 29 points30 points  (0 children)

And I’ve seen people talk about how he wears nice clothes, and drives a nice car. He’s made a lot of money from NIL deals obviously.

But do those people not realize once he’s in the NFL he’ll make even more money to spend on cool stuff? And do those people not realize every pro athlete spends way too much money on nice clothes and how they look lol?

[–]n0t_4_thr0w4w4y 27 points28 points  (56 children)

He also wrote FUCK UTAH on his nails…then proceeded to lose to them 3 times in his career

[–]Billszadharm 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I mean, solid reason to say fuck Utah. Maybe dude is psychic

[–] Bearsforgotmyoldname90210 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Just for more context. He had 381 yards, 5td and 0 INTs in the game he wore FUCK UTAH and lost by 1 point.

[–] Jetsm1a2c2kali 39 points40 points  (41 children)

I mean that’s a perfectly sound reason to hate Utah

[–]Krondeezy708 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Can't wait for him to put FUCK GREEN BAY on his nails

[–] CowboysBoogie_Boof 37 points38 points  (8 children)

His dad is more of a diva than he is.

[–] Bearscspong4 68 points69 points  (2 children)

His dad is loud but he’s also very smart. If you read the things he says about the business side of college and NFL football, he knows his stuff. He’s not being a diva just to be a diva

[–] RavensDONNIENARC0 32 points33 points  (1 child)

I mean, he might know the material but does he actually gain anything from this schtick?

I don't really see how telling people Caleb might return to college if the Cardinals are drafting #1 overall and implying they're a terrible organization helps Caleb at all, just for example.

[–] Eagleshabdragon08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eli did it with the Giants and it worked out well for him.

[–] BearsDillyDillySzn 56 points57 points  (3 children)

And diva is kind of pushing it with his dad anyway, he’s not LaVar Ball

His Dad is more of a businessman, he wants Caleb to be successful and finds opportunities to make the bag. Which all the power to the Williams family to want generational wealth, so do I

But all reports show that when it comes to football he stays out of the coaches way entirely. His Dad won’t really be an issue until his 2nd contract comes upon the Bears, and even then they’ll just want a lot of money which at that point a QB worthy of a 2nd contract is something I’ll take 24/7/365

[–] BearsLukeBombs 24 points25 points  (2 children)

And it’s not even like LaVar Ball has been a distraction since his kids made it to the league

[–]TheTDog 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Probably the crying, or not speaking to media after losses. But he seems to be incredibly mature and I’m sure he’ll only get better dealing with the media

[–] Steelersthereandfatagain 48 points49 points  (2 children)

Caleb is just happy to sign that 40 million dollar deal and who could blame him?

I do sometimes wonder how the days of rookie holdouts would go in the modern league with social media and whatnot.

Didn’t Joey Bosa hold out?

[–] VikingsNimDing218 32 points33 points  (0 children)

As a fan of football, I’m excited to see what he can do. As a fan of the Vikings, I’m not as excited to see what he can do.

People really believed the moronic crap Colin Cowherd is pedaling

Besides Chicago is one of the best situations for a 1st overall pick to step into since they aren’t complete trash like most teams with a 1st pick

[–] Eagles Lionsathrowawayiguesslol 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Every time Colin Cowherd, Craig Carton, Mike Florio, or even sometimes Skip Bayless get a report, everyone talks about how ass they are, but half the people reading still take it as true anyways. They’re quacks

[–]Mr_Jersey 18 points19 points  (6 children)

Cowherd likes Caleb as a player though. He pushed back on Merril Hodges weird critique of him yesterday.

[–] BearsAnAnnoyedExLurker 25 points26 points  (5 children)

Colin’s a USC homer, that’s entirely unsurprising

[–]Mr_Jersey 12 points13 points  (4 children)

Hodges main critique is that Caleb isn’t good from the pocket, when his craftiness and pocket awareness is like one of the most special things about him. It makes no sense.

[–] BearsAnAnnoyedExLurker 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I’m not saying he’s wrong for defending Caleb, I thought that was a weird take by Hoge as well. Just pointing out that CC would defend anyone coming out of SC religously

[–] SteelersJBProds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Merril also said he's only watched 3 games from the 2022 season & 3 games from the 2023 season. It was a pretty dumb & reckless thing for him to say after watching such limited tape

[–]fcpisp 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Never understood why someone wouldn't want to be picked first by Chicago. Chicago is a nice city especially if you have money. They have tons of picks and cap space and may even get new stadium.

[–] RaidersIAmNotKevinDurant_35 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Historic franchise, major city, not a terrible roster, and he wouldnt even have to do a whole lot to become one of the best bears qbs ever

[–] BearsGrdiSr 72 points73 points  (6 children)

A small but vocal group of Bears/Fields fans and Commanders/Williams fans not liking this interview

[–] Cardinalscsummerss 51 points52 points  (5 children)

natural selection will come for those Fields stans

[–] Bears BearsLoop_Within_A_Loop 12 points13 points  (4 children)

I can already tell some of them ain’t going away, even if Caleb performs

[–] Cardinalscsummerss 20 points21 points  (3 children)

it’s odd how that debate always reverts back to whether Caleb will pan out and not if Justin will ever fully develop as a passer.

The whole reason that Chicago is considering a replacement is because they see a defined ceiling for him as a QB.

Bears it is

[–] Raiders BearsVerdant_Gymnosperm 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Bears are a great landing spot because their roster is better than regular 1OA because they didnt earn it. I know he just wants to go 1OA but i would be a lot happier to go to a building team that earned the #9 pick over 2-3

[–] 49ersComprehensive_Main 48 points49 points  (3 children)

Translation he wants fields traded before the draft.

[–] BearsDillyDillySzn 84 points85 points  (1 child)

He just like me fr

[–] Bears-ImJustSaiyan- 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I say give the man what he wants!

[–]Realistic_Maximum471 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"If I get drafted by the Bears, I'll be excited"

Somewhere in his hotel room in Indy, Mike Florio is enraged by this comment from Caleb.

[–]cough_landing_on_you 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so… scared!.

[–] Falconsmrizzle1991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I knew all those narratives were fake.

[–] Bears RamsGoldenDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope he likes deep dish

[–] BengalsJohnald 3 points4 points  (1 child)

The storyline, "First overall pick shouldn't want to play for the worst franchise from the previous year" is so exhausting every single season.
