Maybe I'm reaching my boomer stage, but I miss when NBA logos and jerseys had personality.

I'm comparing the Vancouver Grizzlies logo and jerseys I grew up with to the current jerseys and it feels like the current versions are just so boring and devoid of personality. Even if you weren't a fan of the Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, or Orlando Magic, boy did you remember their logos and jerseys.

Even as a Laker fan, I remember growing up with the thought that my team was really unique because we were the only team in the league (at least for a period) to play all our home games in a non-white jersey. It was iconic. I actually hated it when the then-Sunday whites were introduced.

I feel like somewhere along the way, team branding has become so corporate and flavorless. Bring back the logos with depth and personality, and the statement jerseys! I want to see more jerseys with the Orlando stripes, the Raptors gaudiness, all of it.

So in the last dance, Scottie was mad since although at the start of the contract he was paid well, there was a jump in the nba salary, and towards the end he was super underpaid.

While this was bad for him, wasn’t this super nice for Bulls cap space? This would be the equivalent of having a top 15 player in the nba at minimum for like $20 million dollars. Did the Bulls take advantage of this?

Any other deals that were super beneficial for teams that would compare?

Another Heat player (Kevin Love) almost injured Deandre Ayton last night doing the same move that got Julius, Giannis, and Ja Morant hurt. Those injuries are just within the past year. I personally think that if a defender can’t step into the landing zone of a jumpshooter, then defender should not be able to clothesline an airborne player at the basket. At minimum, the rule should be banned for use on an airborne player and the defender should be forced to either contest or move.

It really cannot be overstated how strong Minnesota's defense is this season. There isn't another team in the NBA that can guard like them on a night-to-night basis.

They've got a stable of versatile, high-level defenders on the perimeter between Jaden McDaniels, Nickeil Alexander Walker, Anthony Edwards, and Kyle Anderson, with the best defender in basketball playing at an uncontested DPOY level this season in Rudy Gobert. 8 guys on a nightly basis are 100% bought in to playing good defense, with Conley, KAT, and Naz also bringing reliable defense every night as well (the jump both KAT and Naz have made defending at the 4 next to Rudy this season has been really remarkable).

There are major questions about their offense (despite recent improvements, they are the 17th ranked offense, are 25th in turnovers per game, and have generally struggled generating clutch offense), but there's no doubt that this is a championship-caliber defense for the Timberwolves this season.

Edit: if I could remove the name of the team which the #2 defense belongs to from the title of this post, I would. Celtics fans somehow thinking this has anything to do with them or it’s an insult against the Celtics. It’s got nothing to do with the Celtics, the point is the gap between MN’s defense and all 29 other teams is massive.

I built around Giannis last night and lost Kyle Anderson to injury, so you can guess how my night went. While it was a bad slate for me, some of my initial picks hit, and hopefully my analysis helped you in some way.

Best NBA DFS Game Environments for 2/28

• Pelicans vs. Pacers

• Mavs vs. Raptors

You could honestly make a case for four of the six games on this slate, but these two stand out as the best. They have fairly close spreads and the two highest game totals of the entire slate.

It helps that they involve guys like Tyrese Haliburton and Luka Doncic, too. I will start with these games if I am correlating any stacks, but on a 6-game slate we still need to keep our options open.

Top NBA DFS Picks for Wednesday

• PG: Scottie Barnes ($9.2k)

• SG: Norm Powell ($4.8k)

• SF: Trey Murphy ($5.7k)

• PF: Zion Williamson ($8.3k)

• C: Anthony Davis ($9.8k)

We keep seeing the price rise for Barnes, but it's warranted. He has displayed a nice ceiling lately and has 45+ fantasy points in 5 of his last 6 games. He also put up 55 fantasy points the last time he faced Dallas and enters the slate with the 2nd best projection among point guards.

Luka is always in play at $12k, but you save $3k here. For value, Ayo Dosunmu once again stands out, as he is pushing for 40 minutes regularly and his price has not budged. De'Aaron Fox is Q and Luke Kennard is Q, so right away Kings and Grizzlies PG value can help us save cash possibly.

Just keep an eye on Fox's status and who ends up starting for Memphis and Sacramento.

Anthony Edwards and Donovan Mitchell look good up top at SG, but let's just get one of the best values out of the way. Powell has played 30+ minutes in three straight, but his role is cemented with Paul George ruled out for this one.

Murphy crushed last night and once again looks awesome if CJ McCollum remains out. He's still viable either way, but we can start building our lineups out with some value before deciding which studs to pay up for and Trey is one of the better options to start with.

Zion is one of my favorite plays tonight, as he does a lot of his damage in the paint and Indy is awful at stopping interior scoring. McCollum being out would only elevate his ceiling here, but I like him either way, as CJ playing would lower his ownership.

Kawhi Leonard is also on the table with PG-13 out, but Zion has the superior matchup and is cheaper.

The Brow is too cheap. He has the second best center projection and third best overall projection of the slate, and he's not even $10k. He also isn't carrying a ton of ownership yet. If that holds, he is a smash play for me.

Kelly Olynyk could stand out as a solid center value in the event Jakob Poeltl sits with an injury. We also can look to Memphis for value, but as far as building out the rest of your lineup goes, we'll know more later in the day.

My Strategy for Wednesday Night

Fading both Luka/Jokic never feels good, but this might be a good slate to do it. They both admittedly look great tonight, but there are a lot of great plays, so I don't know if forcing them in is necessary.

That's especially the case if the value remains where it's at. I do think getting to Jokic may be in the cards if value opens up, but for now, I am totally comfortable building around Brow/Ingram/Kawhi/Zion in some capacity.
