MSI so far

Hello, I would like to discuss a few things that we have seen so far from our boys.

I'm glad they fought back today and didn't back down from a game; I think that's a very positive sign. However, the most important thing, in my opinion, is that we can actually play the game and compete with the world's top teams, as demonstrated by our most recent performance against TES and GenG. Since I've watched every single game so far and seen what is this team capable of I would really prefer to avoid suffering four strokes and three heart attacks when playing in the domestic playoffs against teams like MAD or BDS, hehe.

Really happy for the boys and team overall since now they have a good practice environment, world-class opponents and hundreds of vods to reviews!

On the other side, what I find very disturbing is that our ADC is conducting interviews in which he expresses fear about his future and feels under a lot of pressure. I don't want to jump to conclusions or cause drama, but how the hell is it possible that our player, who is supposed to be completely focused on training, playing, and enjoying the tournament, is on the edge of crying and being concerned about his future?

FFs Get him off the phone, don't let him do the interviews and get him a mental coach or whatever is needed to make him feel alright and focused. I really hope it's not another management masterclass like in the case of Nemesis because that would be ridiculous honestly.

Nevertheless, lets beat TL on Saturday and see what happens next!

I think this is first time after 2018 where we play like a team.

I think this is first time after 2018 where we play like a team.

Loss stings, but I'm so happy that we finally don't have bullshit like " we didn't agree of how to play the game" and such stuff, the boys are glued together into this crazy style and have no regrets playing it, it makes me happy.

Also, it's nice to see consistent improvement of a team, props to the coaching staff.

Blizzard should give OWCS orgs in-game items so they have more reason to invest in the game

Blizzard should give OWCS orgs in-game items so they have more reason to invest in the game

Valorant, Counter-Strike, Rainbow 6, Rocket League, and PUBG all give orgs their own in-game items which they get a percentage of the profit of. This is the easiest way to get more orgs into Overwatch that I haven't heard my people bring up. Other esports with similar viewship numbers to OW have far more orgs because of incentives like this.

This wouldn't even require very much effort for Blizzard, just tell the orgs to design their own skin for a hero and give them some design rules to follow. Then put the skins in their own tab in the shop and split the earnings with the orgs. Blizzard gets more money from skins they got other people to design for free, the orgs get more money and get their names and logos in the game, and the players get more money after more orgs invest into the scene.

Everybody on this sub has such a doomer attitute towards the future of Overwatch esports, but if Blizzard just puts in a little more effort on things like this the future will be much brighter.

Let's all show up

Let’s all show up to the 100T vs Loud game with matching Kermit masks. Once we all go in, let’s yell “PIGGGSSSSSS” 😂. Boostio will look at us point and say “Those boys know good Valorant”. We will look back and say “Ayeee”. Once the match starts one us needs to walk up and say “Sorry Asuna, imma let you finish but Hiko is the greatest 100T player of all time!” Boostio will smile and say “I love those r/valcomp boys” while he kills Pai, More, and Chinese Farmer!!! Kratzy appreciation

Kratzy did well in this event! Yes, his team may not have won, but an 8th-place individual on a 9th-place team is really impressive. When I saw that, it kind of reminded me of fruitberries's 6th place in MCC14, where his team came last, but he popped off. It was similar here too, with Kratzy pulling in top 5 performances in Sky Battle and TGTTOS. Kratzy's leadership in Sky Battle was commendable and reminded me of why he was considered a top-tier player. I believe this event is one more reason for my firm belief that Kratzy should be promoted to an S-Tier, as he is showing consistency in lower-performing teams, and if he can improve his overall consistency, I believe that he is capable of being among the best.

Thanks for reading my rambles,
Thought it should be out there

TFT Study Hall Episode 2 with Dishsoap and Frodan is now out, covering 14.9b meta trends, new artifact item discussion, and diving into the fundamentals of how to manage your economy

Episode 2 of TFT Study Hall is now out! This episode Dishsoap and I sit down to chat about the current state of the 14.9b meta, trends of why things like Fated Dryad Syndra are now a thing, and chat about the biggest winners of the patch as well as some sleeper comps that we each individually believe in.

For this show, our fundamentals topic as voted on in the Spotify poll is Economy. We discuss in-depth about core pillar concepts of what makes a strong econ player, including questions such as:

- When should you hold pairs vs sell for econ?

- When is it okay to sacrifice econ to push levels aggressively?

- How important is it to make economy during Stage 1 by selling champions?

and many more (I basically harassed Dishsoap with like 12 questions and ran out of time).

Feel free to drop follow-up questions either on Spotify or our Discord.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who followed, rated with a star review (apparently that matters a lot), and shared the podcast. We hit #8 trending in the USA on Leisure which is a big category on Spotify covering anime, cars, gaming, and various other hobbies! Really cool to see a TFT podcast get momentum like this. Appreciate the support!
