Tesla
I bought my 2015 p90d Ms about a year ago as an avid wide eyed Tesla supporter. Hardly two months into ownership my driver side front suspension went out. I took it in to my dallas Tesla service center who said the cost would be $1800! I was pretty shocked at the price considering I just purchased the vehicle, but "I guess this is the price I pay for choosing to buy out of warranty, how much worse can it get".. well it can get a lot worse honestly. To continue, Tesla repaired the suspension and a few more months go by and one of my tires goes flat so I call Tesla who assures me they will arrive in 2 hours. Mind you I have just worked 12 hours in a warehouse and I am exhausted with a friendly co worker who is courteously waiting with me. The 2 hours pass and I call back for an update. At this time the roadside representative tells me no one can make it out within the next 48 hours! I tell the representative it is pretty cold out and my battery is draining and I have been waiting 2 hours already and this is not acceptable. Begrudgingly she admits fault and sends me a "loner tire". I go buy 4 new tires from a local discount tire for $2200. I continue my Tesla experience for a couple more months when I hit a pot hole that blows out my driver side tire and peels off my front under carriage "aero shield". Naturally I tow the car to the Tesla service center for assessment. They begin to tell me they can't work on my car because I have to buy a tire with them.. but my tire is warranted.. but they can't get the vehicle in the shop unless I buy a new tire.. $600. So I guess I'm buying a tire.. next they quote $5600 to replace aeroshield, right suspension, tire, and other under carriage parts damaged from the "impact". At this point I'm considering filing insurance claim but decide to just foot the bill and forego the increase in premium. Approved. A day later the app shows a second approval request for $5700, odd I think. Maybe they made a mistake, it's just $100 don't make a big deal, Approved. A day later I receive a call "your parts will be delayed would you like a loaner". "Of course" so I head in after work. When I arrive I'm told to go into the app to accept terms for the loaner where I see ANOTHER quote approval request, this time its $10,100!! I immediately request an itemized explanation. "You need an alignment and other suspension work or it may start to make noise". I explain I'm losing trust, I see a $900 air compressor in the list and I know my compressor was working at the time of delivery to the shop. I explain I just want the absolutely necessary work done, we eventually get back to $5,800. Approved. 1.5 days go by and I receive a call " we found damage to your steering column, it will add $4,000 to the repair for a total of 10,400". At this point I file a claim with my insurance and inform Tesla of my plan to have them work with the insurance firm. When I tell the Tesla rep about the insurance he admits that the majority of the damage is "collision damage" but they are not the collision department and therefore do not work with insurance. At this time I am told I should prepare to remove my vehicle from the property within 72 hours "this is a favor since it is the weekend" and I would have pictures of damage sent to me so I could share them with my insurance adjusters. Why work on the car, why not send it next door to collision. Advise the consumer support the customer isn't that what customer service is? I bought the car for 31k, and within a year I put $2200 in tires, $1800 in suspension, and now I've been quoted 10,400 in new repairs. That's nearly 15k and with 160k miles who knows if the battery goes next. It's sad to say I have lost faith in the brand, the service has not been on par with the cost of the vehicle. I would not advise buying Tesla.. especially out of warranty.. lease if you want the experience. This has felt like a cash grab and extortion, worst PURCHASE decision ever!

Leave it to luxury car drivers to cut you off twice, and then get out of their car to punch your window because you dared to honk-punish them.
It’s always some young guy in a Tesla or some other loud coloured luxury sports car that gets real mad when the whole road doesn’t bend to their will.
Sitter å ser på ny bil. Kan få en ny modell 3 til 390.000 fra forhandler eller så kan jeg kjøpe en fire år gammel model 3 (kort rekkevidde) til 380.000 fra random dude som selger bilen på Finn.

I'll start. Main reason I bought a Lightning because the Cybertruck cost way too much for what it is.
Functionality wise, the Cybertruck's tight second row and small front trunk isn't as useful for my family of 5.
Lastly, I hated that people thought I was a Tesla or Elon fanboy because I drove a Tesla. I bought a Model 3 four years ago because it was basically the only option at that time. Now there's so much more choice, with EVs made by real car companies who know exactly what consumers want in a car.

So I've been planning to get my first tesla for a while now. I'm just waiting for my current lease to end this summer.
I was tempted by the new Tesla 3 refresh (highland). I drove the previous tesla 3 a week ago. I drove the 2024 version today. I find the removal of the stalks ridiculous. I took my father with me to test drive the car too. He just couldn't get his head around it. Too confusing and muscle memory makes you try and push stalks that are no longer there. So he struggled.
My biggest problem with it is roundabouts. I'm from the UK. Let's say I want to take the Fourth exit, I'd signal right, then when I reach the fourth exit, I'd signal left to show that this is where I'm branching off. The problem is that doing that manouver means that my steering wheel is now sideways, meaning the indicator buttons are also sideways. It becomes so awkward and uncomfortable to signal whilst you're turning the wheel.
I feel like they fixed something that wasn't broken. Does anyone else feel the same way? Either way, I like the old model better and I'm looking forward to it.
