Manager changed my shift 24 min before it started Manager changed my shift 24 min before it started

As the title says, I was on my way to work and have a bit of a commute that has been vocalized to her and she knows this. Meaning I have to leave earlier than 24 min before my shift is about to start so I’m already on the road. I get a call and a text from one of the shifts stating my manager wants me to come in an hour later instead because she’s trying to cut hours. Well I arrive and ask if I can just leave an hour early instead since I’m already here and she said no cause she needs me for coverage later. I sit in the back with my coat on for 10 min awkwardly on my phone cause it would be a waste of my time to go home just like this was. I think it got kinda awkward and I think some common sense started lingering in the air because she let me on to work 10 min later.

Also a rush happened pretty much right after and it got a bit crazy all within the hour I wasn’t “supposed” to work.
