A place to laugh at all those clueless to how girls work. This does not include podcast clips or tweets from those (especially public figures) who constantly recite typical misogynistic rhetoric, and make a profit or following off of intentionally disparaging women online/in media; We will not give them free publicity here, or even more attention. Please read the subreddit rules before participating; New accounts, or ones with low karma may be subjected to AutoMod flagging and filtration.

No the sealing them at every single line and every single attachment point, the metal roof can be easier than what we needed but it’s not easy, it’s why we had to replace the other one the house was getting water damage from the seal not being done well and it being a lower grade metal.

Metal roofs are crazy expensive hard to instal, can’t be installed by everyone, has other install specifications that make it more expensive overall, by a lot. Our front porch had a metal roof that was poorly installed and we wanted to replace it and the cost to replace it with metal vs. reinforced shingles as double to triple the cost and a ton of places couldn’t do metal at all.

The internet. Why connect with people IRL when you can mindlessly disconnect online 24/7 it’s a lot easier than maintaining real, meaningful relationships.

When we moved into our place we learned the previous owner had chopped several huge cedars down, we still have A LOT of them but it would have been better to have not cut them down and the county had to do this big investigation and the prospect of having to replace about a dozen huge mature cedars would have made us homeless, and deeply in debt… thankfully we were not found at fault and he had cleared just under the allowed maximum so we just barely wiggled out of that one. It’s like 100k per tree plus a giant crane to plant it l, semi trucks to transport them, excavation and planting labor and shit it’s like 180k per tree once it’s in the ground, if you’re lucky.

We’re adopting this puppy tomorrow. We already have a Mr. Noodles.. what should we name her?

You could also get stuff with her name on it cause this was either a character or a brand (both?) for a while, probably still is

Boston city hall, a building so monstrously ugly that the mayor of Boston cried "what the hell is that" upon seeing the model of it, it also got voted the ugliest building in the world that's how bad it is.

Bricks and earthquakes don’t really get along well. You basically only see it in old parts of big cities.

And a lot of the places where things have significantly advanced don’t help the common person. I had a double lung transplant in 14, if it had been ten years prior I’d probably have died, and that’s obviously great and all, especially for me but like… none of those things contributes to the greater good in an especially impactful way, it’s all things individuals only can access… and I’m sure it’s pretty obvious why.
