Precision Crafted Performance. They keep saying this over and over again. Are they serious about it or do they think that if they say it enough times that people will start to believe?
The latest Integra was announced with a 1.5L turbo which is likely going to be the same "meh" 200hp powertrain from the Si, but just heavier. Their TLX Type S weighs in excess of 4000 lbs and has 355hp. The MDX is even heavier with the same engine. This may have been impressive a decade ago but is woefully behind the times.
What am I not getting?

Right after showing the NSX Type-S, looks like Acura is teasing us with a modernized version of the DC2 Integra front bumper. Really looking forward to seeing what they do with this.

As a competitor to the Mustang/Camaro? It could come back as a 4 cyl hybrid. Really wish a lot of older cars would come back. I like the trend with the Supra and the 400z.
I’d like to see a new Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota MR2 since mid engine vehicles are all the hype now, a new RX-7, etc.
Thoughts?

the reviews I've seen for this car since the press embargo lifted all unanimously say that the suspension dynamics are dialed back just enough from the civic type-r to where it's occupied a sort of "touring" analogue to the civic type-r, much more compliant and can handle awkward pavement better than the type-r. the type-s also gets to take advantage of looser north american exhaust requirements and since it's NA exclusive, it's bespoke for type-s and also gets a significant engine retune. in the video mark comments that at the track he feels faster in the integra because it pulls harder out of corners and on the straights.
savagegeese got access to a product lead for the car, acura even gave the folks a tour of the integra production line. acura produces the type-s on the same line as the base car but they're producing them in wholesale batches in the same paint. (50 orders for silver paint type-s(es?) might interrupt base production for example. get on a waiting list if you want one is the moral of the story.)

Just want to give the acura community a heads up. Place your own gps tracker or air tags hidden in your car. My acura rdx 2022 was stolen in BC, Canada. They tossed out my belongings a few blocks from my house. I believe they removed the gps and disconnected acura link somehow. The piece underneath my steering wheel where mechanics plug in the computer was broken off and left on the road. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Will be switching over to another car company and placing trackers on it.
