Note

Many of the above entities ("Freewallet", "MinerGate", "Changelly", and "HitBTC") are connected to Bytecoin, a pre-mined scam coin which has been previously exploited. Please read this answer on the Monero Stack Exchange, which delineates how Bytecoin, Freewallet, MinerGate, Changelly, HitBTC, and others are connected to each other.

The general consensus is that these products and services selectively scam users out of their money.

Please note: there have been many instances where users have had trouble with either Changelly or HitBTC, and have broadcast their concerns on reddit. Typically, either Changelly support (/u/changelly_com), HitBTC support (/u/hitbtc), or MinerGate support (/u/minergate) enter the thread to alleviate the user's problems publically, to save face. You have been warned. Save yourself the hassle and avoid the above products and services.
