Is Vertage cooked?
Andy, if anyone can find something good here, I certainly trust you on it. We've all got our fingers crossed though, I'd love Vertage cheese being more widely available, but their silence on socials and lack of a press release is unnerving.

Vertage, producer of (what me and my friends have found to be) the best non-dairy cheese in the city, appears to have disconnected from some key customers. Call Your Mother doesn't seem to be offering their cream cheese anymore and Andy's Pizza isn't offering the Miller Time pizza with their mozzarella anymore. The latter has a note on their website about searching for a new supplier, and, albeit cryptically, replied in a DM that Vertage got bought, but didn't follow up and I couldn't find anything online about it.
Does anyone have the scoop on this? This is kinda a gut punch for ppl wanting a not-shit stand-in for cheese, especially the pizza cheese. Sorry to Daiya lovers in the crowd here.

Ok this is a longshot but I am gonna post this because I want to find out: on June 11, 2021, there was a , the first after the pandemic hiatus. Some guy there was in the process of moving to, I THINK, Seattle, maybe Portland, but certainly out of the city. I do not remember many of his physical features, but what I do remember is he was just unfathomably good at card tricks.
This guy was like "oh yeah anyone want to see some magic tricks I've been practicing" and we're like ok sure that'll be fun whatever and we see the first one and it's just huh okay this guy is pretty good. But as he progressed, the tricks got wilder and wilder and his execution was fucking flawless, real MUM GET THE CAMERA type shit, real IS THIS FOOL US DC type shit, and it kept going. The fucking security for the front door came in to check on us because people were screaming and hollering. It was unbelievable.
I want to know what happened to this guy's career in magic, I want to know if he's doing okay, I want to know if he's doing a show on the east coast any time soon. If you or anyone you know were at this meetup and remember this, or you know this dude, please help find because this is a top 10 memory of my entire life.

NPS plan for Rock Creek Parkway would add an additional lane, significantly narrow distance between the road and the trail. Seemingly no discussion of widening the trail either.
The short of it is that managing urban parks is not something the NPS is organized/designed for.
