No Illegal Activity
Posts, comments, and discussions about piracy, basegame converted content, buying/selling of Origin accounts, key sellers/resellers, grey markets, and/or legally dubious activities are not allowed. Mere mentions of piracy, however, are not a bannable offense. These posts may be removed at moderator discretion. In-depth guides, encouraging users to pirate, or asking how to pirate the game are, however, a bannable offense; the minimum consequence is a 3-day ban.

Be Civil
Personal attacks against other users will not be tolerated, and will be met with disciplinary action at moderator discretion. This includes name-calling, insulting other users' intelligence, bigotry, overt rudeness, and trolling.

Post Relevancy
All posts must be related to The Sims 4 and only The Sims 4. Posts about the Sims franchise in general, asking for pc recommendations, Origin, the EA app, Steam, life outside the game, AI art or renders and other irrelevant posts will be removed.

No Monetized Self-Promotion
Posts promoting monetizable content (e.g. Twitch, YouTube, Patreon, etc.) will be removed. Non-monetizable promotion is allowed (simsfileshare, google drive, builds on the gallery) and mentions of monetizable content is allowed in the comments as long as the post itself contains enough content to engage the sub without having to click the link.

No "Which Pack" Posts
Use the search feature in stead of requesting advice/guidance/opinions on which expansion packs, game packs, or stuff packs to purchase. Do your own research via reviews, commentaries, etc. The community has decided it prefers not to answer these questions all the time.

Mark your NSFW Posts. No NSFW media in the comments.

Limit Reposts
A post that has been repeated or is exceedingly similar to another post within the last month will be removed. Common questions such as "What should I name my sim?" and "Do I have same face syndrome?" may be removed. Content reposted without crediting the original user may also be removed. Original content is always prioritized here.

No Begging
No begging for gifts, money, followers or subscribers. These posts will be removed. Further begging may result in a permanent ban.

No "Which Mod/CC" Posts Outside of Pinned Thread
Asking for mod recommendations outside of pinned thread is against the rules! This includes CC, save file, WCIF, and "is there a mod" posts. Users have repeatedly expressed that they do not want to see posts of this nature.

No Meta Posts
Posts decrying or espousing opinions expressed on the subreddit, such as "why don't I get any upvotes", "why are people commenting [this opinion] on posts?", and "I hate the community response to this pack", always devolve into mudslinging. Posts should be about the game, not what people on the subreddit or on Twitter are saying.

Troubleshooting Outside of Pinned Thread
All troubleshooting posts (i.e. bugs, glitches, problems with Origin, complex technical questions etc.) must go in the pinned troubleshooting thread.
