Additional lore: I'm thinking that it would actually be the formation of a "Global American Football Federation" as the name "National Football League" doesn't really work on the international market. Plus, you'd have to forcibly distinguish it as "American Football" as the global market already has international football. (But feel free to state your ideas of what a global league should look like.)
There could be an "Ultra Bowl" where the winner of the Superbowl faces against the winning GAFF team.
I just think it would be so cool to see the love America has for football be pitted against national pride; no matter who wins the Superbowl I'd love to see Americans voice their cheers for the NFL champion on the international field.
