What's your experience buying used from Tesla?
I tried buying used with Tesla, since their prices look competitive and you could save some money on the software upgrades. But the condition of the car looked like it was a rental or got really abused at only 25K miles and being 3 yo.
The Tesla location I went to doesn't even detail used cars. Car had stains from last owner, scratched plastic surfaces, and the roof liner was starting to tear under the sun visor of the driver side. And unfortunately all that is claim to be under normal wear and tear and couldn't be replaced. Apart from that, you can't rematch your $500 deposit into another used car cause it's used and the policy only works on new cars.

Fairly new to EVs and Tesla, so excuse any misconceptions.
I know we can never really know any market in future, but let’s assume the scenario below:
-
A used 2020 Tesla M3 is £23,000 in the U.K. right now. (20,000 miles mileage)
-
After purchasing this, you own the car for 5 more years. The car is now 8 years old and at 100,000 miles mileage.
-
The car is now past warranty and the battery is now 8 years old.
Would there really be a market for this type of Tesla, knowing that the buyer will likely need to purchase a brand new battery soon (a fairly expensive component)?
If so, after taking into account depreciating value with time, and the cost of getting a new battery factored in, how much could we estimate the resale value of the Tesla would be?
(This would apply to any EV I think)

I just did a test drive of a model Y and I’ve read some concerns online about reduced range during cold winter months. I just wanted to hear from anyone local that owns a Tesla and learn if you are happy with it?

I really like my model 3, but I have to say the range is just not enough for me. I don't have a home charger I have to charge it at my office where I got one installed.
I drive a lot, i have 34,000 kms all ready on it and I took delivery Dec 8 2022.
My concern also is the suspension on my model 3 is not that great.
I'm having my first born this march, and I wanted to switch to a bigger car, with AWD, bigger battery and more cargo space. This specific model S i've found is within a reasonable budget to change to.
I'm also trying to keep the cost low as I happened to buy the MODEL 3 during peak timing :(
I just wanted some opinions on if this is a good idea?
The Model s has no accidents, no extra autopilot, and around 97k kms on it. I'm looking to get the warranty from the 3rd party dealer.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
I've read all your comments, I've understood my plan was very poor and have decided against it. I will stick with my Model 3. I appreciate the honesty, though brutal and kinda hurtful, it worked lol.
You all have definitely opened my eyes though and I appreciate it.
Thanks again everyone.
