Tremont Waters
I really like this guy. Shifty player, and GREAT passing vision. Yes he was short but plays okay on defense (G-league) he certainly was my fave player to watch during his G-League stint for the Maine. Got the ROTY in G-League too.
Too bad he didn’t pan out whenever he was called up to the Celtics on his two-way contract. IMO he could have been a solid spark of the bench whenever the team goes blank doing ISO dribble drives = turnovers. I know we got Pritch but I think Waters would have been a better distributor for the team.
Any insights why he was never really given a consistent chance on the Celtics? (Aside from being short and sometimes liability on defense)
In the 4th quarter of the 1st round game between Puerto Rico and China, former Celtic Tremont Waters nutmegged former Rocket Zhou Qi and threw a bounce pass to Ysmael Romero for the emphatic slam dunk

After the game against Monaco, tremont waters got into a fight with steve ho you fat and other members of the team. It was reported he wanted to leave the team and it's now official as he just signed with a club in Puerto rico. I think this ruins mets92 championship aspirations but on the other hand we are going to see wemby more involved on offense with a better pg in the PnR and more prone to pass the ball.
Do you guys think it will benefit wemby too ?

So yeah, there's that:
A lot of people probably won't agree but I strongly believe that this kid is going to be very good for us this year. His highlights, dating back to college, are not typical "young player destroying g league competition." He does things out there that are ridiculous. The pass at :25 in the video below is preposterous. He just has a TON of game, really competes on the defensive end, and hits ballsy shots. Elite bball iq. He has some Chris Paul and Rondo in his game. People may mock that and that's fine but I know a good player when I see one. He'll be the main backup pg by year's end.
Seeing as that we have lost Kemba for at least a couple games. I’m hoping Waters can get called up and get some minutes. He’s been running the show for the undefeated Maine Red Claws. Edwards is great but he’s not the prototypical point guard that Wanamaker and Waters are. What do you guys think?
