In between the Lakers titles on both sides of the decade, the NBA popularity tanked. The talent was really low and teams often didn’t hit 100. Spurs won 3 titles in this stretch and were often criticized for being “too boring”
Now, there’s a ton of talent to the point that 4 players this week alone have scored 60+ Defense has fallen by the wayside and the 3 point shot has taken center stage. The branding is in a weird place with every team having 6 jerseys, different styles of courts and sports/ betting/ advertising everywhere.
NBA whether consciously or not is trying to avoid being boring and possibly an unpopular opinion but it’s turned a lot of people like myself off.

1st time in history:
-Two 70-point-games in a week
1st time in history:
-Five 60-point-games in a season
4/10 Top10 ALL TIME team offenses, THIS season!
All 70-point-games in history, they have come in the following years:
1960 1961 1962 (x4) 1963 1978 1994 2006 2017 2023 2023 2024 (x2)
In about 395 days we have had 4x as many 70-p-games as we had 1979-2005 (26 years), or 1995-2016 (21 years)
It pretty evident that the league has gone wayyyy too far with the rule changes, making "a bit" too easy for the offense, the ball carrier, the shooter, the superstar, the diver.
Nobody cares if someone gets 200 points in the shootaround. Or if MJ dunked 300 on 8-year-olds in his backyard. Pretty much no one watches freethrow -highlights. Uncontested points are useless. Anti-entertaining.
The historical statistics & records will become completely meaningless, if this goes on long enough.
We'll see how my night ends. I swapped off ant last minute so that's probably going to absolutely kill me but everything else is doing good. Small slate tomorrow with pretty bad contests and POR has the whole team Q so not really looking forward to it.
If discord is something you are interested in, Will have a link below where i have in-depth content going over each slate, player pools for cash/gpps, cores and much more.

When Victor blocked Kyle Anderson's floater tonight, it looked really weird, like the ball had been knocked out of the air without anyone touching it. Victor must have gotten his fingertips on it, so I went back and looked at it frame-by-frame.
This is just bananas y'all. That s**t is FAR above the square. I've watched lots of highlights of Wilt, Hakeem, etc, I've never seen anything like this.
Props to imgur for randomly giving the picture the letters "NBA" too in its URL.

Is it something about our personnel that he doesn’t feel comfortable with? Or is it like a philosophical thing that he doesn’t believe in shooting 3s?
I’m just bummed because I love Mike Woodson as a person- but I’m worried that another season like this will result in a change and recruits transferring etc. I just want stability in the program and I (still) hope Woodson will be the guy.

Watching the team, it's been pretty clear that the Knicks often either put games away, or make big comebacks in the 4th. It's a stark contrast from the last few seasons where we'd been getting outscored and giving up leads in the 4th.
1- (1,011) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
2- (756) Jalen Brunson
3- (723) Luka Doncic
4- (673) Dejounte Murray
5- (673) Giannis Antetokounmpo
6- (665) Trae Young
7- (650) Cade Cunningham
8- (628) Julius Randle
9- (613) Paolo Banchero
10- (600) DeMar DeRozan
Anything that sticks out? Wild Fox doesn't crack the top 10. Absurd, Shai isn't even top 10 in turnovers per game off drives. He's currently 30th at 0.8 TOPG (36 turnovers).

The answer for me is probably Donte. He’s having a really solid year and looks like he’s finally put everything together. The 3P shooting and the defence. He’s averaging 11. 4 PPG and 2.7 3PM on 42% 3P and a career high 62% TS.
Other honourable mentions that I really wish were still here are Wes Matthews and Jevon Carter. They really helped our defence a lot and were honestly fan favourites. These 3 guys would be the perfect players for us.
Grayson Allen is having himself a career year too shooting 50/40/90. I’m not too bummed about him not being here because our offense is already so good but he was always solid.
PJ Tucker is obviously a legend among the Bucks fandom and I have a sneaky suspicion he might be back via buyout especially with Doc now here. PJ kinda old now though so losing him didn’t hurt too much lol. I’m glad he’s in the West too.
