Are there any houses/fragrances you like, but hate the bottle design of?

spies

Kyse! The bottle themselves are whatever but the sticker labels look so unprofessional.

Too many favorites to pick! Some fragrances I'm obsessed with at the moment:

Serge Lutens - Fille en Aiguilles
L'Artisan - Amour Nocturne
Arte Profumi - Velvet Rouge

Do you know if you're nearby any stores that carry essential oils? Like Muji or Whole Foods? Before I got into fragrances, I had a collection of essential oils (mostly for aromatherapy diffusers) but that was a good way to learn what individual notes smelled like.

I would also go to any store that carries perfume, like Sephora, and smell anything that interests you. I always look up the notes for every fragrance I get my nose on, doing this will allow you to notice patterns over time and it will become easier to pick out individual notes that can make or break a perfume for you.

I'm confused by some of your ratings. A 7.5 is an ❌ ? Seems high to me for something you don't like.

This success rate is normal, especially if you're just starting off and are not as familiar with what to expect from reading a note breakdown on Fragrantica and listening to descriptions of a scent from TikToks. You will get better at deciphering these descriptors and anticipating which ones will be more appealing to your personal preferences. Remember that smell is subjective, just because someone else is raving about it doesn't mean that you're going to love it. That's why it's more important to gain a better understanding of your taste and what to look for in perfumes.

Also just because something is niche doesn't mean it's guaranteed to have insane projection and longevity. "Niche" just refers to the nature of the perfume house and how available the scent is.

Well yes! It's a little thing called imperialism, I'm sure you've heard of it.

Which app is a much better and free alternative to Evernote for note-taking, providing similar or additional features without any cost, or at a more affordable/reasonable price?

Upnote, I've tried so many note apps and this was the only one that stuck with me. Interface feels more intuitive than the others.

This is absolutely about capitalism. It's the root cause of all the issues you raised in your post. Also any technology that is going to be used by a large amount of the population will be inherently political and that's not always a bad thing.

Try watching a video on the process of making flour. It blew my mind the first time and really gives you more perspective and respect for the ingredient that we so often take for granted in our homes.

My review of Kerosenes ‘Followed’

No, it's just Sotolon. It's an extremely powerful aroma compound that can be naturally found in fenugreek seeds. It's added to artificial syrups to make them more like the "real" maple syrup.

I’m confused. Are naked drinks healthy or not?

Eat whole fruit. You are not getting the same benefits from smoothies as you would from fruit, if you are concerned about the nutrition.

Babycat by YSL is one of the best frags I've smelled. Tuxedo is nice, L'homme is also nice but weak.
