NBA
The Hawks are in the exploratory phase of trading Murray, who is getting strong interest due to his play on both ends, great image and manageable contract.
When asked how he is staying focused amid trade rumors, Murray said, “I know what the main goal is. The main goal is today. Today I’m an Atlanta Hawk and that’s all that matters. Help do my job and try to get a win. That’s the most important.”
In only his 2nd game getting real minutes, he becomes the youngest player not named Kevin Durant and LeBron James to have consecutive 20 point games.

It seems like every night, there's another top story about some egregious ref fail (e.g., past 3 nights: Tatum getting ejected lightly arguing 3 obvious blown calls, Brown nearly coming to blows over bad blown calls, the joke reffing in the Warriors-Griz game).
Do you think the NBA knows it has a problem on its hands or do you think they just see it as fans blaming the refs for their teams' losses just like they've probably been doing since the very first game?
Is there an actually crisis especially in light of the legalization of gambling and the lingering Donaghy scandal or is it really just the same old whining as old as the league itself?

The nine-year run this group of vets has gone through is nothing short of historic and something you're not likely to enjoy again in your lifetime. There's always a chance the Warriors will put together another team worthy of the finals in the coming few years (not this year), but don't expect it; savor the highs and lows and let your anger go.
I wish I had paid a little more attention during the Michael Jordan years and just saved some of those games in my memory bank. He left so abruptly, and the league was never the same. It's so special, and you really have no idea how fast it's over forever until it happens.
You really don't realize how wild the "Splash Brothers" are until a few seasons from now, and you're watching other teams, realizing how insane these two three-point shooters were in their prime and how nothing will for another decade or more. Sadly, great players end their careers in three ways: they retire out of the blue while still in their prime, they have a career-ending injury, or they get traded to a garbage team and come off the bench for five sad minutes of glory while the fans cheer one last time for their dying hero, maybe they even get a standing ovation. All three are heartwrenching and will happen to this roaster one way or another.
Please don't spend this season in angry on this subreddit or yelling at your TV. Don't play the pointless blame game. The Warriors dynasty was a beautiful bouquet of flowers that bloomed brighter and longer than anyone could've expected. They changed the game of basketball. They destroyed the league to the point where it was almost unfair. The Warriors could yawn through the first half and then come out and kill a team with a 20-point run in just a few minutes. Opponents had to exhaust all their timeouts in the third just to try and slow them down; it was unreal! The way the Warriors defied all odds and won against the Celtics was the cherry on top, my fellow fans. The fall of a dynasty is not pretty, so please, don't hold on too tightly, and just enjoy the vet's play because trading off the team for fresh stars is not a guarantee back to the finals; it's another longshot.

After putting up good numbers in the G-League the Grizzlies were forced to give him significant minutes due to injury issues and he’s stepped up. Still just 19 years old younger than most players in the 2024 draft class.
Adrian Wojnarowski just said this on "NBA Today" on ESPN. I'll upload the clip here when it gets posted on YouTube or Twitter, but what he essentially said is that the New York Knicks are expected to still chase a big-name NBA star, but the likelihood that one is available at the deadline is low so they're more likely going to approach the deadline as if they've already made their "big splash" for the season by acquiring OG Anunoby.
Who do you want the "big-time NBA star" to be acquired in the Summer?
Victor has of course yet to play half-a-season in the NBA. Kwame Brown played 12.
Kwame Brown career highs ... Points: 30, Rebounds: 19, Assists: 7, Steals: 5, Blocks: 6
Victor Wembanyama career highs ... Points: 38, Rebounds: 20, Assists: 10, Steals: 6, Blocks: 8
The turnover and foul highs (obviously fouls) are the same. Victor is ahead in FGM, 3PM, and FTM as well.
Also, if you read this Kwame, don't kick my ass please. Just needed someone to use as an example.
