My mother sent me, my boyfriend and my brother a shocking email this morning. It has an important lesson that I think everyone could learn from.

more below the fold.
Jake, Dawn & Kevin: I'm going to tell you a story. Your cousin, Brent, informed his Dad several weeks ago that he had been having problems with a swollen, painful testicle. He was afraid to go to the DR...fearing bad news, so he put it off until it got so painful that he couldn't stand it any more. The Dr had to operate on Saturday morning and remove said testicle. He has cancer. He has an appt this week, to have a CAT scan to see if it has spread elsewhere, and to see what the tests say about what kind of cancer it is, how fast it's growning, etc. etc. The general consensus is that he probably knew about it for MONTHS...which, of course, has given it plenty of time to move to other parts of his body.
Please, please, please....if you ever have something you think is wrong, please go to the DR right away....there are a lot of things that only become bad news when you wait and wait for it to get worse.
Take care guys...love you all....Mom
My cousin's only 34 years old and has 3 wonderful kids. You're good thoughts and prayers are appreciated. But it's an important lesson for anyone in any circumstance. Don't wait for things to become unbearable before you see a Dr. It can allow something bad to turn into something really really Scary. :(
