Our friends at the Austin for Kerry and Edwards web site asked us to mirror the videos below, comments by Ben Barnes, the former Lieutenant Governor of Texas. NOTE: Several people have contacted us about Barnes' mention on the video that he was Lieutenant Governor when he helped Bush get into the National Guard. This was wrong, but he corrected the statement in his 60 Minutes interview. He wasn't Lieutenant Governor at the time, but he was running for the office of Lieutenant Governor. He already had influence as Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives.
