Do yall remember the episode in SouthPark when the parents listen to their kids music (dubstep, "Tween Wave") and it sounded to them like farts? 😂 - That's what I hear when I listen to the music today. I really started to hate mainstream music around 2015 (I'm currently 36). I feel like the 90s pop, rock, country, hip hop and such were very unique and in today's music they are all blended together. I cannot differ between singers as all their voices are manipulated.
I am still listening mainly to 90s, 80s and 70s music. Sometimes I listen to 2003-2007 pop and hip hop music as these were the years I was a wild teenager, but honestly, that music is a little crappy too compare to the 80s and early 90s.
I feel so old listen to "Classic Rock" in the radio and hearing Linkin Park songs 😅
Anyone else feels the same? Or are there millennials who love today's music?

The talk about Katy Perry and Katy Perry’s Birthday song yesterday made me start thinking about the infamous music video. Obviously the video was in extremely poor taste, but it also looks like it cost a lot of money to pull off. Those kind of makeup effects aren’t cheap.
I’m wondering if there are any other cases of a music video going to the extreme production-wise, only to end up becoming a joke or a career disaster. Katy can’t be the only one.

A subreddit dedicated to the discussion of hip-hop/trap artist Playboi Carti.
It’s kinda crazy to me how much hate these songs are getting. I’m seeing people call them all mid like WHAT?! You waited 3 years for music and got 4 songs that are fire and because it isn’t an entirely new genre created by carti it’s suddenly mid and basic. Someone said Hoodbyair sounded basic? Am I new to music because that truly didn’t sound basic to me. Gon sound corny but ion give af, new gen this new gen that but,
You can tell who hated on WLR day 1 and who didn’t based on their reactions to the singles.
While yall cry because carti didn’t create a new genre of music so you could look cool on your little instagram story, I’m gon be vibing to the new music. Stg mfs will talk about “bro I defended WLR w my life day 1” knowing damn well they called that shit mid when it came out, then start a stupid ass trend to make fun of people who discovered carti after WLR got popular, and then do the exact same thing by hating on the singles bc it isn’t what they expected. Crazy.

Hey all, my local gym is closing down due to rent and I'm looking for a way to replace my favorite class, where we lift dumbbells in time to music. I don't mean we play tunes while we lift, but rather we lift to the beat of the music, if that makes sense. At the very least we'll do something like bicep curls during the first verse of a song, then tricep kickbacks during the chorus, then back to curls during the second verse.
Are there any streaming classes, YouTubers, or real-life gyms that do something similar? So far all I've found is videos where people lift weights with music playing in the background.
