Bit of a random post, but I'd like to get the input of some other people on this. As far as I know, it's been less than a year since the whole debate about parasocial relationships between viewers and streamers were discussed. Female streamers getting stalked, or worse.
Now we're a little while into the future, and AI companions are becoming a thing. I just saw a video about Amouranth having released an AI companion version of her. This has to be the single dumbest idea I've ever seen.
Giving the most obsessed of viewers a digital copy of yourself that values only that paying viewer and is there 24/7, surely won't make the parasocial relationships 10x worse, right? Influencers will flock to this business model in troves as it's incredibly easy to do and insanely profitable.
You build up a tolerance to everything in life. Eventually, the people who spend all their time with their digital Amouranth, will have the potential to take it a step further to gratify their desires. This is INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS and I urge any and all influencers to not sell out in this way.
