In a discussion on wrestling subreddit i saw rose bowl getting 27M viewers. That's just college football. I assume nfl gets much more than it. Then how is nba more popular with so many globally known athletes compared to nfl or college football ? I (an indian) never even heard about college football until now. What's the order of sports in terms of popularity there ?

Since 1985 there’ve been 7 NBA teams based in California and Texas. The last time the Western Conference Finals didn’t have a Californian or Texan team in it was when Seattle beat Utah in 1996. Let’s go deeper. During this run these 7 teams combined for 16 of 27 championships. In the same time frame, the rest of the conference has only made it to the NBA Finals 5 times (1997, 1998, 2012, 2021, 2023) and the Nuggets last year were the first of these teams to win a championship since the introduction of the 3 pointer. In fact since 1997, there’ve been 7 WCFs where both teams were from CA or TX. Why does this matter? It’s just odd, and I thought it’d be worth pointing out.
Hi Everyone! I will go to my first NBA game in January. Miami Heat against the Suns.🔥
I am going to travel more than 9000km and spend a huuge amount of money (for me) just to see Heat beat the Suns. (Hopefully Jimmy will play too)
I will stay two days in Miami. Is there any chance to meet a player for a photo or an autograph somehow? Because I didn’t see a meet&greet option for the Suns match, only for the Kings.
Is there any suggestion from you guys?
It would be important because I don’t know when will I be able to see my fav team in real life again and I’ve dedicated this trip for this.
Thank you Everyone! 🔥🔥🔥LET’S GO HEAT! 🔥🔥🔥

I hope not. I remember when Champion was making amazing uniforms.
I have some game used Nike jerseys/shorts from the early 2000s. Made in the USA, great materials, great feel. Fast forward to 2023, they are all made in Asia & feel cheap. I’m sick of Nike.
I honestly wish Mitchell & Ness could takeover and teams could just go back to the old styles.(they own rights to a lot of the old identities) I’d even take adidas back at this point even though Rev 30 kinda sucked.
But money talks and Nike definitely gonna try to keep the contract. Shame.

I’m a casual fan of the NBA but i’m more of a fan of football/soccer and need help finding a comparison to a football player i really like. His name is Rafael Leao, he is a Portuguese winger who plays for Italian team AC Milan. Here are some characteristics or traits that will help with the comparison. He is a very important player in his team despite the fact he is only young. He has a lot of potential and is already one of the best left wingers in the world. He loves to dribble and take on defenders. He is very quick and can effortlessly glide past defenders with his skills and acceleration. He likes to drive to the box the same way NBA players drive to the paint and when there he will either take a nice shot and finish the move or play a clever pass to a teammate so they can score. His playmaking is one of his best attributes and is always looking to find a teammate on the attack. In summary he is a pacy young player who has lots of flair, playmaking ability and finishing prowess who plays a big role in his team. He is also quite tall for a winger at 6’2. Is there currently or has there ever been a player like this?

According to every review and every rating system the Way of Wade 10’s are up there with the best shoes of all time. Now I know Nike sponsors approximately 75% of the league but there are a fair few unsigned played and we still rarely see the 10s on court. Wondering why… just a thought

Great night last night thanks to Saric and all of the Spurs getting there. We go from a 2 gamer to an 11 gamer so the thought process is definitely different. There are some massive implied total games to choose from so be sure to get some pieces from there. With that said... Our January 5th Starting Five is now LIVE! Check it out for a look at my favorite plays at each position on Draftkings for tonight.

If they are the fifth in the last 40 years, and the 1986-1987 Lakers were the third most-recent to do this, then that must mean that two other teams did it between 1984 - 1986. I wonder if those were Lakers teams as well?
