NFL
Most college stadiums are much older and while they have certainly undergone expansions and renovations, for the most part they are the original stadiums still standing/operating.
In the NFL however, it seems some stadiums only have a 30-50 year operating life. In my lifetime I've seen more new stadiums be constructed than I care to count.
Here's a few college examples:
Michigan Stadium, University of Michigan - opened 1927
Neyland Stadium, University of Tennessee - opened 1921
Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium, University of Texas - opened 1924
Rose Bowl, UCLA/Rose Bowl - opened 1922
Bryant-Denny Stadium, University of Alabama - opened 1929
Why has it become accepted/the norm for cities and/or counties to foot the bill for a new NFL stadium (despite being owned by a multi-billionaire) every 50 years, when college stadiums have stayed operational for nearly a century?

The Bears will keep whatever they want to do extremely guarded. We are entering the phase of “Smoke and Mirrors”
Every “unnamed league source” will have an agenda and that agenda is not to inform the fans.
Every article saying “trade Fields” or “fields sucks”will drag him in order to try and lower the trade package their team would give up for him.
Every article about how they are high on him will try to drive the trade price up and signal the First overall pick is in play.
Articles saying they are high on Drake or Williams will drive up the price of the trade.
For all we know they could like Penix or Nix so much they trade the first and Fields. Or decline the 5th yr, trade the 1st pick and draft a QB in back end of the first or in the second round to “reset the clock”.
At the end of the day no one talking to the media knows what the team will do ( or will tell the truth about it if they did know) and “news” sites knowthey can run clickbait articles on this intrigue all day long until the second day of the draft is over.

The NFL today is almost like a different game compared to the way it was played back in the day. The players were often bloody and muddy, the quarterbacks weren’t treated like fragile primadonnas, and the logos and lore were legendary. If you are nostalgic for the Gridiron greatness of the past, this sub is for you.
