NBA
Source:
The Spurs are currently 5-28 (0.152) which is the 10th lowest single-season winning percentage in NBA history. The 1998-1999 Clippers have the next worst record for a #1 pick recipient at 9-41 (.180). They drafted Michael Olowokandi with the #1 pick that season. The team around Wembanyama is clearly awful, but will this historically bad season for a #1 pick have any ramifications for his career?

In the most recent pod Zach asked Bill what the team should be named, Bill didn’t have any real answers. I personally would try to go for the cool V alliteration, Vegas Vipers or Vegas Venom or something. What does the sub think? (I’ve heard all the usual gambling jokes so if you’re not going to take it seriously and just shit post at least be creative with it.)
Ricky Rubio posting his retirement message
Hello,
July 30th was one of the toughest nights of my life. My mind went to a dark place. I kind of knew I was going on that direction, but I've never thought I wasn't under control of the situation. The next day, I decided to stop my professional career.
One day, when the time is right, I would love to share my full experience with you all so I can help support others going through similar situations. Until then, I would like to keep it private out of respect for my family and myself, as I'm still working on my mental health. But I'm proud to say I'm doing much better and getting better everyday.
I wanted to post this message for you today because my NBA career has come to an end.
It all started on June 2009, draft night in New York. What a dream. After playing 12 years in the league, with all its up and downs, I have collected lots of good memories and great relationships. Minnesota, Utah, Phoenix and Cleveland. Wow. Thank you!
Special mention to Cleveland. My last home. I know the way things ended have been tough. I could never have imagined the year would develop this way, but you have an amazing organization, with Koby and JB, who have been extremely respectful and understanding of my situation and caring for me as a person.
Thank you all for the love and support!

All these stats now are fugazi. Shai putting up prime MJ numbers. Halliburton putting up magic johnson numbers. Dearron fox averaging 30 and he might not even be a top 25 player. They changed the game because it went too far in favor of the defense in the early 00’s now it is on the opposite extreme where offenses are unstoppable and the fucking Pacers are averaging 126 ppg.
Tier lists have always been used in gaming to rank things on an easy-to-understand basis. It is the superior way to list rank anything and has no limitations. Be creative, you can make a tier list for anything you so desire. Best mid-size sedans, dog breeds, companies to invest in, engineering colleges, etc. There are so many advantages that this way of listing things has over the typical 1. 2. 3. listing. REC should have NBA arenas in a rotation instead of the same boring REC centre.
Imagine how cool it would be to drop 60 in Madison Square Garden.
Having the 29 NBA Arenas in a rotation so that each game you play feels different would make REC 10x more exciting and most importantly refreshing to play.
Had to look this up because our -11.9/per game seems god awful and yep, on pace for third worst in NBA history:
-
1992-93 Dallas Mavericks (-1246)
-
1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers (-991)
-
2023-2024 San Antonio Spurs (-976: projected)
like, wtf is that - fans have a right to be pissed off.

Ever since really getting into fantasy, I like most degens, will be carefully watching NBA stats while I watch NBA on the other monitor. One thing that has always bothered me was the seemingly subjective decision to include some assists.
There are many assists that are not borderline, alley-oops or passes that immediately become a shot & score. I am not referring to those but rather a pass that will lead to a dribble or some slight pause before scoring. There seems to be a timing threshold before they will reward the passer the assist, but it feels more of a subjective "its been too long" by the stat tracker rather than an objective 4 second count. I could be completely off base but has anyone else noticed this?
Another solid day for me, Detroit game popped off. Hope you all had a good night. This slate tomorrow is absolutely disgusting, 2 teams on it that absolutely troll with the rotations entirely so i can't wait to get absolutely popped and kerr'd tomorrow. should be a great time.
If discord is something you are interested in, Will have a link below where i have in-depth content going over each slate, player pools for cash/gpps. cores and much more.
Edit: middleton supposed limit. if he is on one then it could help pat c/portis/marjon
Curious to see what everyone's takes are on this since we've been playing some really solid basketball lately. Personally, I think that we're a top 8 team in the league right now (Celtics, TWolves, Thunder, Nuggets, 76ers, Clippers, Kings, Pacers). Pelicans are also playing really well but I think we're slightly better if both teams are playing at their best. Excited to see where you all would place us!
