Sorry for the rant. I don’t have anyone to talk about VPR with and had to get these thoughts out !

I just finished my latest rewatch. How was it not blatantly obvious to Shwartz that Sandoval wanted that marriage over. Like yesterday. The manipulation is so obvious and he’s clearly very jealous of Katie having any access to Shwartz, even if it was just crumbs. Sandoval suggesting they take a break from their friendship was so calculated. The fact that it came from Sandoval and not Shwartz put all the power in Sandoval’s hands and then that little barb with the IG post with Brock. That was obviously to see how much control he had// to get more in toms head. The way Sandoval spoke to Katie this season, well actually since forever, was so pathetic and transparent. I saw someone say that in the most recent episode the way Shwartz is begging Sandoval to care about their business is karma for making Katie beg him like that to care about their marriage.

Sandoval always seemed like a loser to me but not an egomaniac narcissist. I’ve had a little more experience with this in life and definitely picked up on more things rewatching this time but for the most part the image that Sandoval crafted for himself seemed to hold up until the last few years. I can only see him now as the whining brat that was on Vial Files and that was starting to peek out around the time of TomTom opening. I almost feel like Shwartz has the mediocre white version of Rachel’s thoughts on where she stood at the end of the reunion saying that Tim was the only one she had left. The difference is that Shwartz had the confidence of a man who has been able to skirt any responsibility for his actions throughout his life. Shwartz lost his marriage and blew up his life because he chose sandoval. Sandoval was unhappy and couldn’t deal with not being number one in Shwartz’s life which is only because he needs someone like Shwartz around to move the way he does. He blew up Rachel, Shwartz (I know Shwartz is also a pod but I think without the influence of a true narcissist like Sandoval we would have a very different Shwartz), Katie and Ariana’s lives as they knew them all because he only thinks about how to get what he wants and now has a fancy new PR girlfriend.

I also need justice for Katie. The way she was treated last year was fucking despicable. SoOo happy Rachel is doing well on her healing journey and Katie is a tough bitch but the psychological torture those three put her through was hard to watch. To not ever show any remorse or give anything other than a blanketed apology or go on about scandoval on the platforms she’s chosen is so rude Especially knowing what we know now. I hate that that all got swept under the rug because of scandoval. The fact that it was a decoy almost makes it worse because it means that they were ok with destroying her mentally because it wasn’t real to them but it was very real to Katie.

And lastly fuck scheana. She’s always been a self absorbed little brat and only cares about herself. The only constant in my many rewatches is that I hate Scheana. Some things never change.
