ESPN dominates MMA coverage in the US and ESPN is in bed with the PFL, so it should be expected. Similar reason that ESPN doesn't cover ONE, because they're actual competition for the UFC

Oakland A's Move Closer to Las Vegas Strip Deal by anubis2051 in baseball

It depends on the city, but there is a definite trend towards 60-70,000 seat stadiums rather than the 80,000 seat monsters that were once popular (in big markets). The LA metro area has 6x the people of the Nashville metro area and yet SoFi stadium (brand new) has the same capacity as Nissan Stadium, which was built 20 years ago. It'll be interesting, because if the bears are good they could probably sell like 100,000 tickets to a game if they wanted to, but their new stadium will probably have a capacity around or under 70,000

The trend with modern stadiums is lower capacity so the tickets are more exclusive so they cost a lot more. All the NFL teams looking to get new stadiums would be downsizing afaik

Way back in the old days when they went from 10 to 11 men on the field, the old heads just played with 10 as a sign of protest, they thought it would be the end of football as they knew it.

As far as LW goes, Dustin basically knocked him down, he's taken some more damage since then. I could see Gaethje, Poirier, Chandler, or Oliveira all potentially knocking him out

UFC Canada 2022? by CastAside1776 in MMA

[–]b4n_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dana was asked earlier this year at a post fight presser and he said Canada would most likely be 2023. It seems to me like the UFC promised all the recent places that they would get events just in case lockdowns went on longer in other places and now they are living up to those agreements before they get back in full gear travelling all over the place

I'm saying Kamaru is going to steamroll Leon and it won’t be a competitive fight

For what reason should I think Leon has a chance against Usman? A lot of people on this sub love him but his last good win was almost 3 years ago... It's stupid to suggest people are underrating him because they think he will lose to the current best fighter in the world.
